Here's a link to the brand new requirements for AP. So if someone went yday March 5th, they should have been in effect.

it would suck if we have to go back or something. Re: using the photos we sent in with the package. It seems sometimes they do and sometimes they don't. The biometrics appointment is also for fingerprints...that is what is now included in the AP document as of 3/5/2008.

cheers

I don't know the details of the appt, but I assume they take one picture and one set of fingerprints. Couldn't these just be transferred additionally to the Travel Document? Not sure though, we had two touches yesterday, only for EAD and Permanent Resident. The travel document still says our NOA1 date.

I had my biometrics appointment today and asked them about the I-131 biometrics.

He said that unfortunately, i will need a new appointment letter for biometrics just for the I-131 application.

The biometrics gets attached to very specific applications like I-485 and I-765.

Maybe he was wrong but what he was saying made sense.

Well I didnt make it to my biometrics appointment yesterday. Apparently, the directions on yahoo, google and mapquest were not right for where I had to go(didn't know I had to type in "suite 100"), so we ended up driving around almost 2 hours in Atlanta. We even asked a police officer and he had no idea. Also, my 4 year old son threw up in the truck, so I called USCIS to see if we could re-schedule and she just told me to go in any Wednesday at 8am with everything and the sooner the better. So we're going back next week.

One quick question though, does my son need to be there for his biometrics? He is only 4 years old. I doubt they'll take his fingerprints. Is there anyone who has gone through this before with small kids?

I posted this yesterday on the March filers thread, but does anyone here have an answer for me?

Hi everyone, I'm hoping to mail everything out on Monday, but I noticed there was a change to the I-131 as of yesterday, and it's the form I'm a bit confused about so any advice would be appreciated. On the vj guide sample on part 2 they check box "d" but it's not filled out below or anywhere else on the form as advanced parole and we don't have an actual "intended date of departure" Part 3 so how do you fill out that part and part 4? Unfortunately, my crappy computer here at work keeps freezing every time I try to download the instructions for this form..can anyone tell me?

Thanks for any advice :)

Oh well. I will ask the same tomorrow. Just seems weird though....d

I mean, don´t they scan your fingerprints and take a digitial photo? How hard can it be to use these very digitized prints-photos for the AP document? Esp since the AP is usually issued around the same time as the EAD, while we have to wait for the GC.

So the photos-prints taken for the GC-EAD are not good for the AP document, which become obsolete once we get the GC?

The GC prints-photo will be months old by the time we get the card itself. Yet, USCIS needs new biometrics for the AP???

@ Anthony Julie: same on my bio letter, doesn't mean they couldn't update that since they changed their rules in the interim.

@ ashleyandjonoz Sorry, thought you had the appointment already...my bad.

Yes, my appointment is tomorrow Saturday. I checked the USCIS website and it said the place is open on Sats...so that set aside any concerns I had.
