AOS & EAD Feb. 2008 Filers

My case was transferred to CSC on Feb 29.

Are most K-visa holders exempt form the AOS Interview? I read the following in another thread:

"Yes one advantage of adjusting from a K-Visa, is the odds of not having to interview for AOS is good, however if you adjust from a visitor's visa, the odds of getting approved without an interview is low. They almost always interview for adjustment from a visa other than a K-Visa."

I've read that there is no rhyme or reason for why some cases don't have an interview and some do...although several theories have been proposed (based on income, visa status, backlog of cases in particular processing centers, etc)...either way, congrats on being transferred!

From what I have observed most K-1 AOS get transfered to CSC and do not have to interview but that's just my observations.

SO I just check to see if my package had made it to Chicago and this is what it says :

We attempted to deliver your item at 9:34 AM on March 3, 2008 in CHICAGO, IL 60699 and a notice was left. It can be redelivered or picked up at the Post Office. If the item is unclaimed, it will be returned to the sender. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Please check again later.

Will they go pick it up if a notice was left???

NOA received today as well as the biometrics appointment. Hubby has the forms so I won't know the receipt date until I get off work. Biometrics appt is for 3/15 @ 12.

I got my Biometrics appointment too, its on 03/18 time is 1pm

can u guys check ur case online? my case doesnt seem valid

Mine is still not showing up Jen. Jen you put 3/15 for your bio apt instead of 3/18 hehe. I guess mine is on a Saturday.

I got the dates from hubby. Receipt date 2/20 Notice date 2/28.

Wierd as I just got the same notice for a package I was expecting from e-bay. Turns out that the mail carrier still had it. It might have been left Canadia or they will leave it tomorrow....You can try calling the post office in that area.

Did anyone else turn in a DS-3025 Vaccination Doc. Worksheet instead of the I-693? This is the only form my husband got back from the embassy that has to do with his medical check and vaccinations. Thanks

That sounds like the form we submitted. It wasn't the full medical form (693 i think it is), it was just the dates of vaccinations...like a spreadsheet. I was reading on the government site I think, and it said that was the only one necessary if applying from a K-1 Visa.

Well, we filed AOS on Feb. 23- (certified return receipt) and the check hasn't been cashed nor, the USPS green reply card returned. We are starting to worry.

I haven't a clue of where we are now...
