Just noticed that checks were cashed 2/26/2008. No NOA yet.

Looks like we have the same timeline. My check was cashed yesterday. No NOA either.

Just finished with my biometrics! I got there at 8:50 (took a lot longer to get there then I thought, good thing I left early!) and my appointment was at 9:00am. I handed them my appointment letter and my drivers license. They then gave me a form to fill out (it was one page one side only, basically just asks for your name, address, parents first name, any other names used besides your current one so they can do a background check). Then I sat and waited for a short while. They called me back and scanned my four fingers and then the thumbs of each hand. Then they scanned each finger individually by rolling them across the scanner and then they took another of my right index finger. She then had me sit down and took my picture (she said I could smile but not show my teeth). Then I filled out a comment card and was good to go, it took about 40 mins total including wait time. Just FYI don't take your cell phone in with you. I did and I was told to take it out to my car.

03/14/2008 - AP approved and mailed!!!!!!

Does anyone know why different people's NOA take longer to arrive? My packet was delivered on 2.21 and no NOA. At what point do I inquire with USCIS? What's the best method of following up? What do I use since I don't have a receipt/case number?

I waited 20 days to get my NOAs. There's one person I know of on here (although who's name I can't remember) who's been waiting about 8 weeks. Look out for your check to be cashed, then just make yourself comfortable and wait, cos there's nothing you can do for weeks yet.

I'm on my 17th day of waiting.....no checks cashed, no NOAs... :unsure: ....I must admit, it has been nerve wrecking, and although I promised myself I wouldn't let them get the best out of me they are well on their way to doing just that....

8 weeks?!! I'm sure I can't go that long without some kind of inquiry....I imagine if I call them, they will just tell me to wait, huh?

It is amazing how powerless they make you during this process...it is no wonder people have to often appeal to the help of their congressperson...I'm going to start finding out who ours is....

Hey our check was cashed yesterday! MCS # is on the back but USCIS case status online says there is no such case (yet?...)
