Actually, I think I am last from feb '08.

I'm stuck in CSC "Pending" after a transfer on 4/22/08 from my field office. The Infopass basically said all is fine and I'm in line and it'll be my turn in Feb + or - 3 months and won't be needing an interview.

Meanwhile...

CSC is processing August 15, 2008 for I 485 and my field office is processing July 14, 2008. And i'm just sitting here getting ready to choke up another $340 for a EAD because it looks i'm on permanent wait. I'm going to call in the morning now that CSC is processing beyond my date all the sudden, buy 6 months!!!

OK...so We're NOT alone. We haven't gotten ANY news about our case since March 11, 2008. The EAD renewal is FREE for anyone who applied for AOS after July 1, 2007...that would be us. I'm sending my husbands renewal today.

Lili, thanks for keeping in touch with us. We are out of normal processing by about 6 mos as well, our local office is working cases from Nov 2008 now.

I did send the OBUDSMAN a letter/request last week, so its been about 10 days now. I hope that office will give us some help. A friend in another forum was going through the same situation last year and as soon as the OBUDSMAN got involved, they got their GC in about 2 weeks.

Neverseen...hang in there. You're definitely not alone.

Dre

I have been trying to find the answer to my question on other forums, and the search feature does not return anything related to it.

It's an easy question: Angela got her EAD at JFK last January, and we are now applying for EAD with form I-765.

The first question asks for what you are applying for, the third option is Renewal of permission to accept employment.

Is this what we should check?

Or the first option "Permission to accept employment" should ALWAYS be selected, no matter if you had or had not received an EAD at the POE

Thank you.

Our Timeline below - CA Service Center - Consulate: Rio de Janeiro - Local Office: San Jose, CA

October 5, 2006: We meet for the first time!

March 8, 2008: I-129F K1-Fiancee Visa Application mailed

October 27, 2008: K1 VISA RECEIVED !! (233 days - 7 MONTHS 19 DAYS)

January 17, 2009: Entry - POE: JFK w/EAD (315 days)

February 6, 2009: WEDDING! (335 days)

March 24, 2009: Sent AOS, EAD, AP package to Chicago Lock box (381 days - 1 YEAR 16 DAYS)

June 30, 2009: Interview in San Jose, CA (479 days) - NOT approved, Sworn statement required

AUGUST 14, 2009: GREEN CARD IN HAND (524 days - 1 YEAR 5 MONTHS 6 DAYS)

May 31, 2011: Sent I-751 Removal of Conditions package (1179 days - 3 YEARS 2 MONTHS 23 DAYS)

January 25, 2012: 10-Year Green Card Received (1418 days - 3 YEARS 10 MONTHS 17 DAYS)

Lili,

I'm not sure. We had a very standard interview with very little questions about our relationship. The officer was very stoic and it was hard to understand her because of a heavy African accent. She told us in the end that we should wait for a decision in the mail in a few weeks.

I don't know if I should feel relief or aprehension. At least its over!

Any thoughts?

Andrea

I had almost the same interview. My interviewer was an Asian lady with such a thick accent. She asked few questions and said to wait for a decision in the mail. We were quite worried as you. Few weeks later, the online status changed and the card showed up. Don't worry too much about it...you might have had a newbie who need to have their case files reviewed by their supervisor before approval. Wait a few weeks and see if there is any update on your online status. There were probably only few questions about your relationship as you came as a k-3 and your relationship is already been established.

On the bright side of all this unreasonable delay, you will be getting a 10 year green card!!!

You are not renewing an EAD. As you did not file the I-765 before rather you got the stamp at POE. You are asking permission.

We haven't had an update Online since biometrics in March 2008. Its been about six weeks and no news on the AOS interview. They did take my husband's I94 and in some forums, this seems to ve considered a positive sign. I wonder what the hold up is?

Have you read the threads about USCIS is backed up regarding the production of green cards. I wonder if it has something to do with that, though they should be sending you an approval letter anyhow?

You probably should make another infopass to shake things up a bit.

Taking the I-94 is a very good news. I just don't get what is the holdup. Background check maybe?

I think they're singeling us out because my husband is younger than I. This is reverse descrimination. That's what all of my delays have been about. They don't say it ouright, but that's what it is. I REALLY HOPE they're interviewing my neighbors and my aquaintances. I wish they would come here RIGHT NOW. I'm sooo frustrated I could scream. Everytime I call USCIS they tell me I have to wait 61 days from the interview date to call. They don't have any status updates since March 2008. The system doesn't even tell them we've been interviewed. Thanks for keeping up with me. I'll keep you posted.
