Dear All,

Finally after forever, i got an interview letter in a mail today. It is scheduled on Thursday Dec 11. I hope everything will go well just like a lot of us here.

01/2003: Came to US(F1 visa)

02/2006: Started dating with my USC husband in CA.

06/2006: He moved to IL. I was on OPT (F1 at that time)

10/2006: I relocated to IL, and moved in with my husband.

09/2007: OPT ended. I went out of the US.

10/2007: I came back to the US on H1B.

01/2008: We got married.

02/07/2008: We filed I130/I485 package to USCIS

03/07/2008: NOA for all applications

03/27/2008: Fingerprinting was done.

04/08/2008: I got AP in the mail.

04/15/2008: I got EAD in the mail.

11/05/2008: Interview letter received in a mail

12/11/2008: Interview date

Hey everyone!

I had my interview yesterday in Seattle. It was crazy, I let my papers fall, I forgot the name of our witnesses...but all was really nice, the officer approved me putting a big red stamp on my process : APPROVED. He didn't say anything about review the process, he said just for to wait for to receive the card in home.

Cdn in Wa, lucky you that you are getting the 10 year green card!

Today, I received the permanent resident card. I am utterly excited!

It came in my hubby's name (thank you IO for changing it at our interview), so I can finally carry his sweet name. :)

I am going to stay up tonight so I can surprise my hubby with it, he has been waiting for it with excitement also! He actually had been checking the USCIS website more than me lol.

Oh, and finally after three years not being able to leave the country (F-1 entry visa expired), I can go up to the Canadian border...and finally be on a different soil than american. :)

The other interviewees on 10-17-08 in Seattle, your card is right around the corner. I found it funny we all got approved the same day. :)

Congratulations! So weird that after months of worry, it's over so quickly. I'm keeping watch on my mailbox and opening every piece of mail :lol:

Jan. 28, 2008 - Interview!! Approved!!!

Feb. 12, 2008 - Arrives in USA!!!

Feb. 18, 2008 - Wedding Day!!!!!!

Congratulations to all of those who have heard good news recently. I am still waiting to receive GC or any update on AOS since biometrics, although the lady IO said that I was approved.

I plan on going to Canada tomorrow, and I posted about this as a separate thread (topic). Please, let me know if you have any advice (after reading the separate thread you will see that my issue is not returning to U.S. but actually entering Canada).

I tried. Wish I could be more help. Some days I just wave my Cdn passport at them and they wave me through. I've rarely crossed with a foreign national (even my husband - as we were advised it could lead to problems).
