In this tedious process, we tend to forget that this is all worth it.

So, my received date is 2-22. Biometrics and everything is done. Just playing the waiting game. My last touch was from 4-22. I did get the work card, but nothing since then. Should I be worried? I see most of you got your interview notice 4 months after filing. I'm sitting at 6 months without a word being said. Any ideas?

2-22-08 - I-485 rev'd

2-27-08 - NOA1

3-17-09 - Transferred to Cali.

4-12-08 - Biometrics

4-22-08 - Touch

4-28-08 - EAD received.

...waiting...

3-04-09 - Had to renew the EAD :(

3-04-09 - Got annoyed at being outside of the processing window

3-04-09 - Called and they confirmed. Will contact me within 45 days.

3-05-09 - Date on the EAD NOA1

3-12-09 - Received a confirmation email that I am outside of the window and will get a decision in 60 days.

3-12-09 - TOUCH!!!

3-27-09 - Touch!

5-09-09 - Randomly received the renewed EAD Card... w/ wrong A# :(.

We filed Fed. 2, and have not been touched since March 18.

Had to do 2 biometrics, because her 1st A# was wrong.

Call my congressman, his aide call the NVC and was told

My husband and I had our appointment on Sept. 19 in Los Angeles.

It all went very smooth; the interviewer was a very nice Asian young lady.

At first, she went thorough the whole application and verified all the information I had already provide in it, such as current address, mailing address, parents' names, E V E R Y thing, she went one by one on each question, when it came to my personal information she asked him to answer, not me, she asked him for my B-date, wedding date, if I was married before, anything you might think about, she asked us.

I didn't take my husband's last name, she asked me why, I answered and she seemed to be pleased with my respond. The last part, she asked for pictures, common accounts, I gave her my 401K where he's the beneficiary, life Insurance, Credit Card, joint Bank Account with both of our payroll deposits, I gave her the tax adjustment for the last 3 years. (We got married on 2/05/05, just on 2007 I became an U.S Citizen)

Make sure you had done the vaccinations, we didn't bring his to the appointment and our application was put in hold, which we didn't mind, we had been married for more than 3 years, he has all the documents to work and travel out of the country, so the delay will not affect us that much.

If you're trying to delay your AOS to be right after the two years so you won't have to pay extra $$$ for the removal of Conditions, this might work, just make sure you know what you're doing.

At the end I even had a change to ask her about an issue I have with 2 of my brothers who are about to lose their Green Card because they’re living in Colombia taking care of our mom, she even helped me with their case.

All I have to say is that if don’t have anything to hide, you don’t have to worry. Good luck to all of you, and thank you for ALL your help, I wouldn’t have done it without the help of this web-site and the nice people who care to help.
