Oct. 22, 2007 - NOA2 Hard Copy received!! No email/website update.

Nov. 16, 2007 - Paperwork found & received by NVC!

Jan. 7, 2008 - Finally got the interview date

Jan. 28, 2008 - Interview!! Approved!!!

Feb. 12, 2008 - Arrives in USA!!!

Feb. 18, 2008 - Wedding Day!!!!!!

Feb. 19, 2008 - Apply for SSN

Mar. 12, 2008 - Packet mailed (AOS, EAD, & AP)

Mar. 12, 2008 - Husband's SSN arrives

I was approved!!!!!!! For anyone in LA, prepare to wait 1-2 hrs.

When we arrived at the building we had to get into this huge line outside. The line moves quickly so dont freak out. We finally got up to the office and gave our apt letter to the guard and sat and waited. And waited and waited and waited a good 2.5 hrs until we were called by the officer. He basically asked for our passports and drivers liscenses and copies The only documents her asked for was anythign showing financial ties. And just like that our interview was over in about 3 minutes.

Interview done, wheww!

Finding the damn place was the most difficult part. This new Triangle office is not on any maps or GPS yet; we spent at least 10 minures driving in circles before we spotted the building (saw the line of people in front of it).

The interview itself was a breeze; my husband and I kept making fun of each other the whole time like we usually do and the officer quickly became visibly more friendly and relaxed seeing that. Asked questions about how we met and married, work, address, previous visas and trips, photos etc., usual stuff. I got to explain to him how to update DMV information online as he was interested. :) Overall, a very easy experience.

So, we're done for 2 years.

Just wanted to provide an update. I was out of country and have returned last night. Used my Advanced Parole document to enter and had no problems at the border. Interview is coming up now - October 17th.

Congrats to all those who have been approved. That is so awesome!

I think we are all set with evidence stuff we just need hubby to go get his medical redone as it has been over a year since he had his down in foregin consulate. We go tomorrow for that.
