So glad to see all the new interview dates. I also have an update. I sent in an inquiry to my congresswoman and she just received an e-mail from USCIS saying that the hold up was re the name check but that it has cleared now and that they will be forwarding it to our local office for scheduling. YAY

Does contacting your local congressman / congresswoman really work? Should I (non-citizen) contact the local congressman or should it be my wife (citizen)? How do you find out who your local congressman / congresswoman is and how do you contact them?

thank you!

hi Immigration Blues, we have thesame local office, in our case we need to contact our congressman might be a good idea, but don't know how to approach him.....

Then we should continue to keep in touch and exchange info on our case status. I am definitely interested in determining whether the Portland office has delays. BTW, I have mae an Infopass appointment for the 22nd. Have you considered making one yourself?

Here is a start on how to find and write to your local representative:

Hey all my fellow February filers!!!

Just wanted to write a little something to say that waiting SUCKS! I haven't been on VJ for awhile because our case was transferred to CSC and I feel like it will be years before my husband's green card arrives. I know, I know, be patient, breathe, count to ten, etc.

I wish everyone good luck and hopefully this Friday USCIS will post really good processing times!

after the full medical fiasco at the interview... received an email from CRIS- card production ordered.

i still can't believe it... i hope its not a mistake.

anyhow, best of luck to everyone waiting for an interview..but just to be safe please get a full medical, especially if you are doing AOS after k-3

Congrats!!!!

I was also thinking about having my hubby take a full medical prior to the AOS interview just in case. He was under the 1 year mark when we filed AOS but it expired April of this year.

Just thought i share the good news with you all. We had our intervienw today and got approved with a stamp right there! The whole interview was less than 10 mins. We had a bunch of evidence like everybody else but we didnt use most of it. The lady who interviewed us took our lease, bank statements and a photo from our album thats it. Thanks everybody, this forum has been very helpful now i will need to wait for another 2 yrs and do it all over again

Wohoooo Congrats!

I just received an email today "Card production ordered" Thanks everyone. I wish everyone goodluck. For the longest time i didnt have any touches on my application but obviously my file was moving along fine.

Congrats Febfiler!

Immigration Blue and Skyblue - Yes I do think that writing to your congressman/woman works. I, the USC, submitted the request. It was followed up with a call from the aide saying that they checked online for processing times and that we were still good. I explained to her that I had personal knowledge that dates had been already given for AOS interview at my local office and that I really just wanted to know if my husband was stuck in name check or if maybe it had been sent to a previous address etc. That seemed to work and she went ahead and emailed USCIS. She received a response back from them a week later saying that the delay was due to the name check but that it was cleared and that they would be forwarding it to the Tucson office for scheduling for the interview. I would def try the congressional inquiry. It won't hurt.

Seems like only a few of us left here from February.

How incredibly frustrating that people from even a few months ago are getting their green cards and we wait without any explanation.
