The Garmin Nuvi 200 has gone down to $150 on amazon. That's the one I'd go for. Might be worth spending a little more for it.

I guess the question should be which company has the better maps for your area - none of them are foolproof mind (my map database has the 2008 map and it still doesn't find our nearest Starbucks), and you might find that with Garmin at least - the higher end models use the same basic mapset as the entry level ones - the only difference seems to be in levels of coverage (you pay more if you want South American and Europe) and extra features like bluetooth or traffic receivers.

Don't take that as a dig against Garmin it isn't, but map detail is something to look into - we have two and they work great. My wife has driven pretty much all over the country for her job and its a lifesaver for her.

That is great news, and I am hoping they don't cancel the interview.

Just wanted to say hi! We are February filers, filed on Feb 21, got NOA Feb 27, Biometrics was done on April 1, EAD and AP granted on April 29th...but since then nothing. Not a single touch on the AOS since they first entered the case into the system on Feb 27th. Could it still be in Chicago, really? Does anyone know when they transfer your case to your local office?

Good luck to everyone!

Hi All!

My husband applied for AOS/EAD on February 4. I've checked my case status online, it says still pending. The USCIS website says they are working on cases after February 25 so we're just wondering when ours will be approved. Has anyone called the customer service line before? Do you actually talk to a real person? Is it worth calling?

Thanks for your help! :star:

I called today. They won't give you any more info than what you already have. Where did you find that they were working on cases after February 25?

We're in a similar situation - filed in the second week of Feb and no touches since biometrics. We received the AP / EAD in April and everything has been pretty much status quo since then. I do not have any idea when they transfer it locally. We plan to wait and watch until mid-June after which we will make an appointment with the local office. My lawyer believes that based on the current work load in our local office, we will most-likely have the interview in September. Hopefully we will not have to wait that long.

Our Journey...
