I saw it happen to someone else on VJ just a couple of months ago..it didn't seem to mean anything(no RFE, and no delay as far as they could see)

I wouldn't worry about it..probably just someone touching EVERYTHING in your file..lol

Has approvals for CSC transferrers slowed down or what?

I was hoping to get approved before the end of the month based on similar timelines from the past and present applicants..

Just recieved my welcome letter in the mail today. Hopefully I'll have my green card within the next 3 weeks like the letter says. Going to have to wait on the decision for my son's card though. Got an appointment with a civil surgeon Tuesday for a TB test and need my husband to do another affidavit of support, then I can get it all sent back to them. Hopefully it's not too long of a wait to hear about his case.

FINALLY received EAD, it took over a month, This is BS, I thought they processed these in the order that they received them, Our AOS has not been touched since March 18.

I just notice our NOA1 says that our I485 AOS is at the NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER.

I check the "Processing Dates for Applications and Petitions" at the National Benefits

center, and It doesn't show the I485 AOS as being processed there.

Does anybody know if they process I485's at the NBC?

I am worried that my application is sitting at the NBC and not being processed, this would not be the

first time this has happened to me. My I-129f, was sent to El Paso by mistake and it took 3 months to

get that straightened out.

Mine is at the NBC too and hasn't been touched since February 7th. I don't think that they process the I-485 I think your local office does. So find out which office is your local office and check their date for I-485. For example my local office is San Jose, CA. Right now they are on October 23rd for I-485 so I have to wait until they get to my date before mine is transferred there and I get an interview. I'm not 100% sure on this so don't quote me on it. But that's what I understand from what I have read. If I am wrong someone can correct me.

Not sure on that one. The Atlanta office shows currently July 27, 2007 for I-485's. We had our interview on the 21st, haven't heard back on the result yet mind you, but we got the interview really quickly. I guess it probably depends on the case/office, or something.

I am in Canada at the moment. I came back to sort out my apartment and my storage and visit my parents. I have to say it was kind of sad clearing up my place and preparing it for tenants:( But, I am learning something about trade-offs - my wonderful guy is a pretty great substitute for a nice apartment!

While I have been here, my SS card arrived in the mail back home (one week after my visit to the office to apply), and I received a touch recently on my I-485. Since I already have an interview date, I am REALLY hoping the touch was not because I am getting one of those cancelled interview letters....

I have a question:

If I am not approved immediately at the interview, do they take my AP papers away?? I need to travel out of the country quite soon after my interview...

Does anyone know?

The processing dates at my local office (Portland, OR) is currently Aug 24th, 2007. If this date is indeed an indication of how long my wait is going to be then I probably should expect something in only Oct / Nov this year, which of course is very worrisome.

I have the same question-- I'm planning to go on a long overdue vacation three weeks after the interview and my H-1B might run out as I'm about to take a leave from work (although maybe there are no visa consequences since I'm taking an unpaid leave and not quitting my employment). Hmmm I think I'll start worrying about that after the interview, if needed.

And if you look at USCIS website that is the exact same date that they give. So I don't know if the offices are updating the sites or what but it seems that a lot of the offices are further behind then they should be. Some people get their case processed even though the local offices say that they are behind the date of the application. Doesn't make sense but I guess all we can do is wait.
