AOS & EAD Feb. 2008 Filers

Hi Everyone..I'm home!!lol.

Crossing with the AP was no problem..very smooth(although they made us sit and wait for no apparent reason..it was 4 am..nobody but us there!)

My daughter is doing better..she seems to have stablized..maybe all she needed was her Mom! They let her out of the hospital..doesn't mean she won't end up back in there...but for now..I'll take it!

My EAD arrived while I was away..looks like alot of people are moving right along

I'm crossing my fingers for you Main..It will be here soon!

Shawna so happy happy happy to hear your daughter is doing better. I hope she stays that way. Glad to hear that your crossing was good as well. Hope you had a nice visit with others while away. Nothing much new here, just lots of touches on AOS but no approval, however I didn't expect to get that yet anyways lol. Glad your back safe and sound.

I checked this morning and noticed that they send me an approval notice on May 16th...

Yeppeeee I am expecting tomorrow my I-131 they mailed it last may 15 and may 16 they approved my EAD.... I am very happy before I born my Son I have good news for my AOS...

hey everyone..I have a question(yes another one..haha..bare with me!)

Now that I have my EAD..do I have to go to the social security office..and have them do something with my SS card?or is my SS# along with my EAD fine?being that my SS card..has that **not authorized without work permit** on it.

You don't need to go back to the SSN office as your EAD is your work permit!

for what I know , as soon you get your EAD, you have to go back to SS# to change your status...my advice is go back there and show your EAD card

That advice is incorrect. They won`t change the card wording until she gets her green card.

What I mean is, he/she needs to go back to SS office to show the work permit..i know they won't change the wording on the SSN card, but at least they can update that the applicant is legal to work in the US..

Uh oh..lol..mass confusion setting in Do I HAVE to go down to the SS office yet?**smacks self in head** I would hate to go apply for a job and find out I have to have my status updated first(we all know how slow the gov't can be) but I would HATE HATE to go sit there for 3 hours to be told theres nothing to be done yet...

Like you I already had my SSN and it said the same thing. I didn't bother to go to the SSA and I have a job. So I don't think you need to go because it would probably be a waste of time because you aren't going to be filling out any forms and they won't give you a new card.
