i really need the permit coz my Philippine license will only be valid here in 3 weeks.

Hey fellow filers. I haven't posted in a while but I wanted to let everyone know that we got our interview appointment letter yesterday. That will be less than four months from sending our application to hopefully receiving the green card. I've checked the USCIS site rather regularly and we haven't had a touch since 2/7/08. So it was a bit of a suprise, but a welcome one of course. I maybe slightly on the early side compared to most in this forum, but it is a good indication of what is to come for all of us. Good luck!

Yeah mail just came and so did my EAD card, whoo hoo. Come on Shawna.

**SIGH** it didn't come today..I just booked an infopass for tomorrow morning..I figure with the expedite..and the approval..I have a good chance of just getting them to print the AP off for me..any thoughts if this could work? my lawyer(not thats shes been much help..thinks it might)

I am obsessing!! I hope it helps. Consider me your full time obsessor (in a good way). I wish we could trade AP's. I don't need mine as bad. If your daughter is short, brunette and looks like she's 12, let me know and I'll fedex mine right away!!

Edited to add: Definitely set up an infopass. You never know!

you totally made me laugh!.. shes tall and blonde(with a very biatchy attitude over all this!!..haha) I figure what do I have to lose at this point with an infopass right? it should be easy to print off!! its just stupid pieces of paper! I tried calling the misinformation hotline ( I used the expedite link(you get a real live person fast that way!) but she just kept saying..wait 30 days blah blah..I politely inquired if she KNOWS what the word **Expedite** means she seemed not to with her 30 day blah blahing! so now I'll cry at at that guy again at the infopass place... maybe he'll take pity on me again!

You so are in our prayers. Would be nice to clear up all the February filers and give them their AP and EAD.

Then of course move onto the AOS. Shawna so sad to hear it didn't come today, I hope you can get it done at the Infopass tomorrow. Is it a possibility of you going on Friday and your daughter following as soon as her's arrives if you don't get it tomorrow? I hope you just get it tomorrow and then you can make your flight arrangements and be gone for Friday. I hope you can find a great last minute deal too.

bluegreen I am sure that my mailman will be happy that he doesn't have to chat with me everyday too. Although he is great and when I told him I was waiting for it he said he would keep an eye out. So today when I saw an envelope from Lee's Summitt I just looked at him and said yeah I think this is it and he said that was great.

Would be nice to clear up all the February filers and give them their AP and EAD.

Yes, it would be nice. It is so untidy having cases straggling like this. It would be so much cleaner and more efficient if we could have everyone here on VJ done and dusted. I think we should make a group infopass and bring our list with us so USCIS can see how disparate our approval timelines have been...Maintian, if you have an appointment, make sure you point out that this is messing up our excel spreadsheet. Maybe that will appeal to them somehow?????
