Got my driving license today!!!

So now I can LEGALLY drive around (not that I would ever ever EVER drive ILLEGALLY :whistle: )

2011 April 1 - Arrived in Texas at 10:21 am

2011 April 1 - NOA (rec'd via snail mail April 8)

2011 April 7 - Cheque cashed

2011 May 5 - Biometrics (letter rec'd via snail mail April 15)

2011 May 9 - Placed in line for interview scheduling

2011 June 13 - Rec'd yellow letter (no change in status online)

2011 June 23 - Rec'd text that my case has been scheduled for interview

2011 August 1 - Interview (rec'd via snail mail June 27) PASSED

2011 August 3 - Rec'd email that my case has been scheduled for Oath

2011 September 1 - Oath ceremony (rec'd snail mail Aug 5)

2011 September 1 - All done, yeah.

Does anybody know how long it will take to get an interview notice? I think I'm going to end up having an interview because I came in on and F-1 visa, and before that on my dad's work visas. And do they usually show it as a touch if you are getting an interview or do you just receive something in the mail? Thanks!

I had the AOS interview on last Friday (May 2nd). It was kind of tough. My scheduled interview was 11.15am but I had the interview around 1.30. :(

The interview was divided into 3 parts

Checking information: The interviewer asked me about some information which were written down in our applications.

Fault finding: While he was asking me about Nazi, terrorism, spy and all of security questions, he stared at me and tried to make me nervous All the Time. But it wasn’t work because my husband and I have nothing to hide. I got a little mad because of his staring, therefore I stared him back. :)

Asking for marriage evidences: We showed him our join bank account, life insurance, medical insurance, car insurance, our photos with our family in the US and etc. In this process, it seems like he got convinced by our evidences, so his character and atmosphere in the interview room were completely changed. Moreover, he said that he would recommend us for green card approval (I hope it means I’ll get green card), and my card should arrive in 2-3 months. :)

02/05/08 : AOS form arrived at USCIS

02/13/08 : Check cashed

02/15/08 : Received NOA

02/16/08 : Biometric Appointment notice

Hi Bluegreen - did your AOS receive any touches between your Biometrics appointment and interview notice date? Also, did you receive an email intimation of your interview prior to receiving the notice?

Hey! Nope, no touches on my I-485 since NOA-1 and my I-130 still won't show up online. And no email about the interview letter either.

Nov 30 2007 - I enter US as a tourist to spend the ski season with my sweetie and figure out what we both want outta life - we plan on ending up in Canada, but...

Jan 30 2008 - We get married in Vegas! We decide to stay in the US.

Feb 11 2008 - Package arrives in Chicago

Feb 19 2008 - Receive NOA 1 for everything except I-485. NOA date Feb 15th

Feb 22 2008 - Receive Biometrics notice, dated Feb 20th, for appointment March 11th

:) :)

now i just want them to send me the damn card ASAP and to approve the AOS.

this whole immigrations process is a pain in the neck.

Congrats to all getting approvals. My wife got her green card yesterday in the mail. It took 13 days to arrive from the day of our interview, extremely fast IMO. Now I just need SSN to arrive.........hurry up !!!!!
