How do you know what times polls open/close?

Off to do some googling....

Your state board of elections should have that info on their website

Thanks. Not sure whether to get up early, or go after work. This is my first time voting...are lines usually shorter in the morning?

In my experience lines are longer when it's easier for most people to go. That means right before work (7:30-9am), around lunch (12-1) and right after work (5-7).

If you get there at opening (6am for me) there's no lines at all where I am.

eta: I go after work because I know I can't avoid the lines. I'm not going at 6 and I can't afford to walk in late. After 6 it is.

I am working the election here in Orange tomorrow. It is going to be a long day, I have to go down to Laguna Beach and I have five polling places to monitor. Orange got their electronic voting equipment re-certified so we should be good to go.

Oh wow, Jim! I'll be voting at Seven Degrees...is that one of your places? :)

I'm usually the first in line at 6:00am...No lines where I vote.....

Where do you live?

Illinois....The polling places open at 6:00am........

I find anytime that's off hours such as 2:00pm, 6:00am, etc......

Turnout is typically heavy at my polling station. Tomorrow will probably be heavier than usual. I think. I will do my usual, go after work. It's open till 8:30.

I'm surprised you didn't vote by absentee ballot?

Can you do that for primaries??

No, Troll, all the states I've lived in recently had registration at the polls, so I just blanked. I only found out I needed to have registered here by Jan 22 on.... Jan 24. ARGH.

I'm really upset about this. :(

Show up and claim you're registered. When they don't find your name in the book they will have to give you a provisional ballot. I believe it takes days for them to verify all provisionals and by then a winner has been declared and tallies are published on cnn :P

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).
