does anybody really die on the island though ??

Well, yeah, definately. Dunno what is going on with Michael, but there have been loads of deaths. The Others that infiltrated the survivors' camps (Ethan etc) and not forgetting Charlie, Ana-Lucia and so on.

but are they really dead? that one guy that Locke killed came back....

Plus a few appeared in the story about Michael too. Maybe they were hallucinations but I'm thinking they're real.

I don't know how many of you have seen this (Brits will have, no doubt), but this was the trailer that aired in the UK for the first serason of Lost. Pretty cool, especially when you try to work out who is what (i.e. Sinner, Saint, Junkie, Fraud, Murderer etc). Interestingly enough, it mentions one of them is a Cop, but Ana-Lucia didn't enter into Lost until the second season. Proves they had long planned much of the seasons' story arcs at that point.

Worth a watch.
