Invitation cards are a great idea, it will show your names, family names, location, place, date, etc! If someone in the family has a list of guests that the invitation cards were sent to, that could be helpful, or any receipts from the hall or food people, music, clothes, etc. Take a lot of pics with as many family members as possible - even if it is too much, better to be safe than sorry! :)

SUCCESS - VISA APPROVED ON APRIL 3RD!! :) :)

POE Detroit - May 19, 2008

Applied for SSN: June 5th - Received Card: June 12th

Received Green Gard: June 12th

Driver's License: July 28th

Move to St. Louis/Ritesh starts his job: August 5th

My name is Samuel, sft engineer in charlotte, nc, waiting on citizenship in few months.

I need to file for DCF after that for wife. I am following this thread & gathering info for DCF.

IF all of u can, please let me know about following:

1: I am expecting citizendhip in july or Auguest. So, If I maintain some utility bills from now @ my parents

address in india, is that enough to complete 90 days resident status? what else I need to start work on from

my side? Thanx..

Well guys here's an update When we got the letter from the Embassy I was sure it had to be the visa. BUT NO I was wrong we are now in AP/AR don;t know exactly why I guess it's one of two thing's. Name check or Relationship Valdity I guess if the second come JULY 20/30 that should hopefull be undisputable with our baby. Any ways I have just been feeling carzy sad farantic and numb. Will post when we hear some good news. Untill then good luck to everyone else we're just taking one day at a time now.

may i suggest reaching out to the Senator/congressmen of your state. atleast you can get a direct answer as to the reasons and whats the hold up. put the pressure back on them.

When you go to apply for DCF at New Delhi, they will check your US Passport and check stamp of arrival in India. Also you need to notify nearest FRRO office about your residency in India. When you go to New Delhi for visa then you would need to get letter from FRRO to make process really smooth.

My brother-in-low just got his visa via DCF but since he did not have letter from FRRO he had to fly back to Gujarat from New Delhi to get that letter.
