Hi all,

I am a US citizen. My wife is a resident alien with a green card. She was here for all of last year... we are filing as married/joint. Ok, thats the easy part.

Her 4 children immigrated to the US in November. None yet have a SSN or a greencard but I have been supporting them all year. They physically lived in the US in Nov and DEC of 05.

Can I claim the kids as dependants and take the tax incentive?

Thanks!

Don't think so, the kids must have lived in the same residence as you for more than six months last year.
