Yeah, not too much action of this thread anymore. I just booked my flight to Manila for March 25. Rose will have her medical on Wed and Thurs. And (with God's hope) return together on April 4.

Just a quick reply! I got my Packet 3 from Vancouver today. I also phoned and booked my medical for March 27th! I just have to fax the checklist back tomorrow and I should have an interview sometime in the beginning of April! WOOHOO!

I hope things are moving along smoothly for everyone else!

So my fiance sent back the letter to the embassy yesterday saying that she had gotten everything together in packet 4. this morning she got a call that the interview would be monday, this coming monday! now i am all for hurrying this thing along but that was too quick since i am planning on going to the interview with her. i called the embassy back and spoke with a very nice lady who asked me when i would like the interview and she changed it to that day, three weeks from monday. its like 7 months of absolutely nothing and then its everything all at once! well, now comes the fun part.

just called USE call center.. they said they made a mistake.. its not March 14. appointments will be made March 19!

they also said check their website for updates. i did. and its the same

Starting March 14, 2008, those applying for K1, K2, K3 and K4 visas who have been notified by the Embassy to prepare for their interview can call a Visa Information Service operator to schedule an interview appointment at the U.S. Embassy.

they made a mistake? the last call i made was yesterday and they keep on insisting to call on the 14th! now that its 14 they say they made a mistake and call again on the 19th! this is unbelievable, terrible, and frustrating.

Sorry to hear Eric and George. What a bunch of bull. How much farther can go in screwing with people? Some US gov agency needs to step in and let them know they need to stop to trying to make up new rules as they go along.

hey guys we got our interview date and its on April 03. I am about to send all the paperwork to my fiance and i have a quick question. the forms that the embassy included in packet three are older versions so is it ok if i use the newer once from the department of state website? and the other is i am in the show business and i work on different films all the time so the way we get paid is different than a regular job. this is how we get paid everyday we fill out a voucher and turn it in at the end of the day but we get to keep a copy of it which contain the hours i worked that day and how much i make a day then those vouchers are forwarded to a company called Media Paymaster Plus then the company processes the vouchers and mails me a check so can i send my fiance the copy of my vouchers along the I-134 form and the employer letter and should i also send bank statements since i dont have paystubs yet? I have like three weeks worth of copies of my voucher. Thanks in advance guys.

It probably doesn't make any difference, but I'd use the forms they sent in the packet unless you have a real compelling reason for using the new forms.

Yeah, that sounds like a good plan to me. Make copies before you send the originals though.

Question for everyone. My fiancee had to get a police clearance from Germany because she lived there for two years. this document will obvisouly come in German so she will ned to get it translated. I wrote the United States Embassy in South Africa and they said to either get the German Embassy to do the translation or find a court appointed translator. I wrote the German Embassy and they do not supply translation services, btu will hand over a list of translators upon request. Will the translators we get from the German Embassy work? Has any one delt with get somethign translated? PLEASE HELP!!!!!

hey you guys is it ok if i have been on my job for a short period of time like two months? and i make about $20,000. the reason is because i got in a car accident on october of last year and i was off work until january 25, 2008. I lost my old job because of the accident so i started a new one on January 24, 2008. And i have a doctors note and a police report from the accident as a proof so I guess my question is am I gonna need a co-sponsor because i've only been on my job for a short period of time even though I make enough to support My fiancee and I? please help and thank you in advance.
