You wont actually know for sure that this is your paperwork in the batch, but I would bet that it is if NVC said they sent it on that day. I would give it a few days after it arrives at the consulate before making any calls.

Hey, how did you figure that out?

I called NVC last night, and they hadn't received mine yet. Hopefully, mine is at least on the way to NVC.

It is a HUGE PITA to call NVC too. I tried at all hours of the day monday (soon as I woke up and even 10 minutes before they closed at midnight) but couldn't even get in line to wait. Finally, I got through last night, 15min before closing.

Well supposedly my packet left CSC for NVC today. That was pretty fast!

Hey, how did you figure that out?

I called CSC. So I think there's only about a 50% chance that they were telling me the truth. The guy sounded very confident that it had left, but then they're very good at sounding confident even when I know for sure that they're wrong. I'll call NVC on Monday to see if it arrived, but I won't be holding my breath any.

You will be oh so pleasantly surprised when it's NVC you're dealing with and not CSC.

However, I registered my change of address with NVC and then phoned back a couple of days letter to check they had the right one and Packet 3 was still sent to my old address - delaying things by yet another few days *grumpy face*. That could be the embassy just reading off the original petition though.

NVC are nice peeps tho.

Ahh, I see. I figure that means it was sent to the shipping department. As I recall when it was taking 30+ days from CSC to NVC, that was the general answer they gave. Their records show it as shipped because they sent it to the shipping department, but at that time the shipping department was way behind for whatever reason.

Looking at others time lines, it seems to be taking 14-21 days to arrive at NVC these days.

I was really careful to ask "is it just in the mailroom, or has it actually left on a truck?" and he did say it had left the premises. I don't know how he could tell. It could just be blowing smoke. I know CSC wait until they have however many they think they need to have to ship, and maybe mine just barely made it on the next truck, but I'm certainly not holding my breath.

A question about 2x2 photos to bring to the interview. It is very clear to me that the foreign fiancé/e needs to have two 2x2 photos.

However, I am not sure if the USC needs to provide two 2x2 photos as well. Can someone clear this up for me once and for all.

India, gun buyback and steamroll.

Ahhh, sounds like it very well may have left. Maybe it is on the same truck as mine. :P Mine should be arrive anytime assuming it has left CSC, been 2 weeks today for me. If you are lucky, you were the last one on the truck, and you'll be the first one off to be assigned a number and forwarded.

Seems like only half of everyone fills out the timeline for the NVC stuff. Even for January approvals, only about half of people show it arrived at NVC, and those who did are clumped pretty close together.

Yeah, after NOA2 the timelines start to get pretty barren. I guess "Service Center -> NVC" threads aren't near as popular as "we're approved!" threads. :D
