Well, I am sufficiently freaking out.. On the I-129F forms, there were places we left blank, instead of writing none (prior spouse names, etc). Can we refill out the form correctly now, and will it get placed in the file, or do we have to wait for an RFE?

Wait and see what happens.

Filling a new form and sending it will do no good as the chances of it actually reaching your file at USCIS are slim to none.

Some have gotten RFEs for that, some haven't. Depends on the adjudicator. You'll have to wait and see.

Additionally, it would depend on what you left blank and whether the answer can be found elsewhere or is critical/material to the adjudication. In any event, you wait.

Hey KitEEgirl,

oder auch Hallo :)

Your thread made me freak out a little bit, too, because we also left some spaces blank on the I-129F form. These are

- "Middle Name", because we both don't have one - but we included a copy of both our passports' data sheet, where middle names would be printed

- "Other Names Used" - but on the G-325A we stated "none",

- "Name(s) of prior spouses" - she had one, I had none - I only stated so on the G-325A

- "A#" and "US social security #" because I have neither of them, and the forms said "if any"

I learned my lesson for sure, but hope this will be processed without an RFE

Cheers,

Daniel

Daniel,

Kind of scary.. It looks like we did the IDENTICAL thing.. Even same with the spouse and A#....although I have a middle name.. I guess all we can do is wait. From some of the researching I did, if the RFE asks for a completed I-129F and g325A, we can do that and overnight it back and hopefully only see about a week delay.. Most of the petitions were approved shortly after receiving the RFE. I guess nothing can be done now.. Let me know if you get an RFE, it'll atleast lessen the blow...

Oh the other thing we didn't fill in was about a different alphabet, we left it blank.. Maybe we are just over analyzing the situation way too much.

By the way, tickets to Germany are way cheap right now. RT, the price was $457.....

USCIS mentions strictly not to leave a blank space. if something does not apply to you write N/A. I guess it depends on how many places you left blank. one or two maybe overlooked but leaving plenty will be a problem.
