Please tell her we are praying for her. :(

Praying for what.

That she did not comit Misrepresentation?

Or that she will get away with it.

There has been no follow up describing the circumstances.

And I assume you know this from...uhhh... psychic vibes? What I gather is that Shon doesn't want to give details because it isn't her case. The woman is hurting, and who wouldn't be? This is some pretty serious charges, and just because this is what a consular officer thinks doesn't mean it is a fact.

'Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO HOO, What a Ride'

Your girl never showed to chat.... :(

Miss Liss I found out the lady in question is out of town until later this weekend since her daughter got married this week.

Everything I respond to is from personal knowledge, research or experience and I am in no means a lawyer or do I claim to be one. Everyone should read, research and be responsible for your own journey.

Alrighty, well make sure she comes to the next one! Every Wed. at 11 am (eastern time). Here's the site again: www.visacentral.net

This is a great thing for her-she will be able to get her questions answered for no charge!

Right now she is upset and trying to get in a better place of mind. the ladys daughter had a wedding this week and is out of town. she has written letters to whom she needs to and she has been making phone calls. she has been considering her options on what to do at this point.

Morocc,

thanks for the prayers. she has been really upset. you know when dealing with these things its a sharp blow. it takes some regrouping she has been waiting 2 years. she will see this thread.

Hey, I understand she's upset and all...and I really feel for her situation, it's a tough thing when you have no idea what to do or where to turn.

All I'm saying is there's free advice available from someone who can explain the situation and what the law says...if it was me, I would take it!!! And I hope that once she gets back in town she will decide to do so... (F)(F)(F)

oh shon, how awful for your friend (F)

Here is a link about petitions being sent back to NVC for revocation which explains what happens

http://travel.state.gov/visa/laws/telegrams/telegrams_1388.html

http://foia.state.gov/masterdocs/09FAM/0942043N.PDF

Also the article by Marc Ellis that he posted on here a while back possibly has some relevant info

http://www.ilw.com/articles/2006,0323-ellis.shtm

What stands straight out to me is that the marriage certificate was accepted and consequently an approval given of the I-130 and a conof can only send a petition back if there is evidence that was unavailable to USCIS. I may be way off track here. A chat with a good immigration lawyer would be well advised me thinks. I wish your friend all the very best in this.
