Andre left MoBay at 2:30 a.m. one time to go all the way to Kingston to drop off the DS230 when they allowed you to just pop in at a certain 2 hour time frame. They hit traffic. He was 2 minutes after the time and they wouldn't let him in. So, he rode all the way back home to come again a few days later. Everyone was pissed.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

There is a Consular office in Mobay, I've been there a few times, but its not good for much. Its catered to Americans since it is apart of the US Embassy. But more so for American tourists, or visitors to the island who may not be JA residents yet. I wish they would have an Embassy extension in Mobay. That woulda helped me out so many times. I have yet to go to Kingston, cause its just so far away from my family there and annoying to get to.

This whole wait for 3 months to get an interview date is ridiculous!! Seriously the CR1 visa would be so simple and easy if Jamaica didn't tack on an additional 60-90days after NVC to schedule an interview! I cannot believe that little island processes THAT many visas in one month!

I hear you Lita both about the damn Embassy extension and the interview scheduling thing!!

It's like you have to drop off your paperwork on the 2nd to last monday, but not during a full moon, half moon or quarter moon... before 2:51pm...but not after 2:52pm...in a green shirt wearing a red hat and black cowboy boots...They just make it DYAM DIFFICULT!!! I think they do it on purpose to deter visa applications!

Honestly...it's like fall in love with a US Citizen or you are a$$ out!!

MAWIN Lita how you do,

I know about the Consular office in Mobay. The only thing dat good fah, is if you a U.S. citizen and you get in some sort of trouble or something of the sort of if you lose your passport or travel documents. An police officer searched our car in Montego Bay and well, somethings were missing and my friends were very upset and we got into it with him and the officer arrested a male friend (US citizen) without cause, who was traveling with us. He said he tried to hit him, which was not true. We called the embassy in Kingston and someone from Montego Bay came to the station and he was released. The officer was out of line. I don't know about you ladies, but I feel that as a JAMAICAN that has been naturalized (I get treated differently). Especially, when I return and have to go through customs. Last year I traveled 8 times to Jamaica and each time I was drilled at immigration when I got to the island and when I returned to Baltimore.

KIM, girl don't get me started. The last time I went home I had a lot of things, because I was going for my engagement party. I don't matter how hard I try I always get the DRY FACE ooman in customs (face look like she did a role it in FLOUR). She take my passport, look in it and say, oh, Jamaican born, can you go over there please with you luggage. Then they dig up my suitcases, dropped some of my clothes on the floor, was just plain RUDE. So, you know I lost it. I started talking very loudly, THIS IS HOW YOU TREAT A U.S. CITIZEN that comes to visit JAMAICA. Her supervisor ran over immediately. Oh, wait, don't let me forget about the laptop I had to turn on and show her that I know how to use it and my DS handheld game system (she nevah know seh big woman play with those...a pickney things)...saying that to her co-worker. I told the supevisor I'm sick and tired of this treatment. I went through the same thing 6 times last year. It's as if they're picking on my FAMILY. they did my dad like that in April, June and September. They were very rude. What upsets me the most is that they DIG up your luggage and don't even attempt to try and fix your things back...

To remedy the situation the supervisor told me to tell them I'm comming on vacation. I told him, don't even bother. That's what I filled on of the form that they gave me on the plane and that's what I told immigration and the DRY FACE OOMAN ovah deh so. Because, mi a U.S. citizen but JAMAICAN born unu wah treat mi differently...no sah dat naw go wurk.

Next time mi ago pretend like mi DEAF and waraitclaat DUMB and MAD...
