Thank you. I accept this award on behalf of all the little people, and the kitty cat threads. Without them, this wouldn't have happened. I would like to thank my producers, my writers, and my garden gnome. I am honoured to have participated and look forward to another prosperous year.

Our advertisers have requested that we remind award recipients to keep their acceptance speeches short. If you hear the orchestra start up, please wrap it up and leave the stage graciously. Thank you.

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

so the take over day was successful then?

Oh absolutely. Originally it had been planned for Sunday but the Superbowl organizers asked us to bring it forward in case we unduly affected their viewing figures.

There was one clear winner.

Although admittedly there was only one clear participant...

Thank you, Steve, for taking the time to arrange this momentous day. If it wasn't for you I just know that it would have been a total disaster so, once more, I thank you on behalf of the mods and the admin. You really are a fabulous contributor to VJ and I can only hope that we have more such wondrous days, such as Duck Day, happening on VJ.

Now, the moment we have been waiting for, the prizes. It's been tough to decide what to give the winner(s) but I'm sure that we have made a good decision. I hope you all enjoy your prize and keep us posted on what you have done with it.

Once again....*holds up glass*...to Steve! Hip Hip Hooray!

Now, Spinach for all! Enjoy, everyone!

Thank you, Mags, for the kind words and the abundance of spinach! A prize truly worthy of the competition. Inspired.

As you can see, I have taken some of the larger leaves and turned them into an attractive chapeau...

An effective rain-resistant headwear as well as an iron-rich tasty snack. Bingo!

You are a STAR, Steve, a STAR. Full marks to you for ingenuity and, may I say, for your rather fetching fashion statement. I'm in awe. Truly.

Well, after some discussion with our financial backers we are proud to announce that the Very Big Turnip Company of Ohio are going to send, to Bosco, a months supply of turnip greens.

Let's give a big thanks to the Very Big Turnip Company of Ohio once more. *warm round of applause*
