How do you tell what State (any) american tourists are from... unless you ask them directly...?

I'm not sure what to make of this to be honest - as I have family and friends in the LA area and none of them match the description that you've applied to them en-masse.

Also I hate most airports but LAX is nowhere near as bad as Atlanta, Dulles or Newark Liberty.

Nothing "blanket" about them. I have never ever met anyone from abroad who liked the people in LA. Clearly what is the norm for people from LA is not the case abroad.

For example, in my experience the average Joe from London is the complete opposite to the average Joe from "like" LA.. One has class the other does not. One is an idiot the other is not.
