Yesterday Abdel was in the park playing soccer with two SCAD (Savannah College of Art & Design) students when a reporter came up to them and with camera rolling asked him if he knew what holiday it was. Apparently it was Confederate Remembrance Day in Georia and a state government holiday. Of couse he had no clue so he guessed Secretary's Day, because we had been discussing that we would take our Admin to lunch here this week.

We had a pleasant evening last night in spite of the fact that I was showing Abdel our budget and depts. He feels so confused because I pay all our bills online and keep our checkbook and budget in Excel spreadsheets.

It's cool that our computers are side-by-side because I am able to teach him so much on the computer that way. Sunday he learned how to organize his favorites folders so he can find the sites he likes again.

Icy, I'm right there with you - should be reading econ instead of reading here. My finals are next Tuesday and Wednesday nights. One of them is a bit scary because even though the class is easy for me - it's stuff I use at work every day - I skipped a test because I wasn't ready for it, so my final counts for that test grade in addition to the normal final percentage. To top it off, Abdel's biometrics appointment is that morning so I'll be driving home from Charleston (about 2 hours) and we really wanted to sightsee a little before we came back. Guess we'll just have to see how long the biometrics takes.
