I am new here, ive actually been on this site quite a bit but i have always posted on another website call immigrate2us.net so i just figured id ask here too...

I am wanting to send out my AOS packet next week, i have the money and my husband has already went to see a civil surgeon and all of the other files that i needed to fill out are done...im just having trouble with the I-864. Here is my situation:

We are doing the K-1 Visa, he was approved in Ciudad Juarez, we were married jan 4th and we are here at this point now. I am the US citizen, my husband is the immigrant. I am working right now, my husband doesnt becuz he was told he isnt allowed yet until he recieves his EAD. I just started a job in december, this company is very slow right now, so im not making a lot, at all. We live with my father and i seen that i could use a co-sponser, so i would probably have to use him right? My brother also lives with us too, would i need to use him as another sponser as well? With more sponsers with more money, does that help??? The i-864 just asks a lot of questions im not understanding...at the beginning of the form, part 1, it says "I ______ the sponser ect..ect.." am i supposed to be listing myself? and then which one do i mark, i was guessing E - I am the __first __second of two joint sponsors.

Then part 2 asks information of the Principal Immigrant...im guessing that is supposed to be information about my husband??

Part 3, i should mark the first choice? "I am sponsoring the principal immigrant named in Part 2 above." or is this wrong?

just to get this straight....i am sponsoring my husband??? right? its asking to enter the total number of immigrants i am sponsoring...so i am supposed to put 1, which is my husband right?

Please someone help me with these questions, i know these seem like absurd questions, but im wanting everything correct and to make sure we get his green card SOON!!!!!

Yes, if you aren't making enough to sponsor your husband, then if it is okay with your dad (sounds like it is :)) then you should put him down as the co-sponsor. Not sure about getting your brother to be another co-sponsor too. Yes, your husband is the principal immigrant, and you'd put 1 there.

I'm not sure about the household size question though, if you live with your father and brother, that would be 4 people but I don't know if that means the sponsor income should meet the requirement for everyone living at your house. Maybe someone else can answer that...

Hope this helps :)
