USCIS TRAINED TO LIE???

ok some info and a suspicion. last week 1/25/08 i called customer service trying to get a receipt number or see if i was in the system. i told the rep i filed mid November he promptly replied OH WE ARE ONLY ON OCTOBER. flash forward to today. 1/29/08 i call again HOWEVER this time i lie and say that i filed in October, without missing a beat the rep says OH WE ARE ONLY ON SEPTEMBER APPLICATIONS/ so here is my thought . possibly they are trained to automatically respond like this. if someone has not received an NOA1 i encourage them to call tomorrow and lie and say you filed in September if theory is correct they will respond. OH WE ARE STILL ON AUGUST or such and such service center is only on August.

i did however get the info that i will be sent to California service center, wasn't sure where i would go after the Chicago box.

lol silly naive me, when will i learn to not be so optimistic...lol thank you for confirming my suspicions of outsourcing also, i suspected this when i got one that ..uuumm didn't speak English to well, is the nice way to put it.

Hmm!!! I am going to answer that with a Yes, because guess what,I did not have to lie,i did file in September,and i called today,and said where is my NOA1....they asked me "when did you file" in September" and what do you think their answer was? you got it...."we are on August"....and here is the funny part,when i tell them,some people from November already got their NOA1,I am told by uscis officer" oh,those people are not telling the truth"....and then get this,i ask them well why does the Chicago lockbox say they are already finished with Novembers applications...I was told(today) I-130 applications,some are in the calfornia center.......WHAT?

WOW !!!!! I ,for the life of me can not understand why they can not tell the truth...like ,look we really screwed up so bad,we have no idea where your application is,AND....WE ARE GOING TO BUST OUR ### TO MAKE IT RIGHT !!!! that is what any business would have done !!!! everyone makes mistakes.....but really,be straight with the people,and fix the problem!!!!!!

The U.S. federal government and it's contractors are horribly incompetent, and has become a sheltered workshop for people otherwise unemployable except as minimum wage clerks and laborers. These losers administer and set up the programs the contractors operate. Don't blame it on outsourcing.

A few years ago, a study was done regarding the IRS's employees completing taxpayer's filings, as well as the telephone advice lines. I recall the IRS tax agents made errors on 60% of simple 1040s, and did not get ANY 1040s correct that were even minimally complicated.

Our federal government is an unbelievably huge mess out of control, and can't be trusted to provide even simple services correctly.

It's just general human nature, IMO. People hate to say "I don't know." to a stranger, so they just make up anything they have to to get you off the phone as quickly and easily as possible.
