  1. 1. Say that the stimulus package passes and you get an extra $600 or $1200, what will you do with the money?

    • Spend it on things that I WANT but cannot afford
      3
    • Spend it on things that I NEED but can't afford
      11
    • Pay off debt
      26
    • Spend it freely, as this is the purpose of the money
      4
    • Save it for later expenses

I'm going to owe the IRS. By the time we get that refund, I may need it for bail money!

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

Plus, the rebate itself is taxable income.. so if you get $1200 figure on paying taxes on that amount in 2009.

Probably going into the bank to either finance our next trip to Germany or to keep and entertain the in-laws if they visit us here. Either way, it will be expensive. None of them have ever been to the US before, so I suppose I should do something to make it worth their while.

I'll treat it just like it's an extra paycheck and dump it in in the checking account. Money in...money out.

It doesn't necessarily mean it will get spent or it will languish in the checking account. I might even invest it later in the year in my Roth IRA. Money in...money out...money here...money there. Running a household is just like running a small business.

"Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence: Those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave."

"...for the system to be credible, people actually have to be deported at the end of the process."

US Congresswoman Barbara Jordan (D-TX)

Testimony to the House Immigration Subcommittee, February 24, 1995

IF I were to get it. I'd put it towards the new ungodly AOS fees I'll have in the future.

Save it for later....we're gonna probably owe taxes on it anyway...I'd probably put back enough to pay the taxes later on and use the rest...whatever is left...on things we need.
