I sent my fiance the I-134 form today along with a letter from my employer and bank. Now I notice mention of tax returns in some of these threads. I have read the letter that came with the form about 100 times and it only mentions tax returns when refering to self-employed people. Am I missing something?

i sent some just in case but i dont think that you have to have them unless you are self employed. I wouldn't worry about it.

Letter from Employer is usually sufficient. I took 3 payslips and 2005, 2004, 2003 W2 as well. But they were not needed.

We didn't need a bank statement and didn't supply one.

Be guided by what is required by your individual embassy and what is asked for when you receive the packet.

The I-134 is only one thing that may be required to show that the applicant wont become a public charge. This is something that causes a lot of confusion in the K visa process when some are required to submit tax returns. When this is asked for it is in addition to the requirements for the I-134 to further show that the applicant will not become a public charge.

Have a read if the pinned I-134 thread in the Foreign Embassy Forum.
