I've heard and read in many forums that the I-130's NOA1 photocopy is not required for I-129F filing, can I just attach the number on the check when its cashed or do I have to wait for the NOA1 to arrive via mail?

What I understood is that some lawyers file both packets together - the I-130 and I-129F - but when I called the National Customer Service Center they said its essential to attach a photocopy of the I-130's NOA1!!!

Conused

It is safer practice to prepare each application/petition as a complete set of documents rather than incorporating by reference or hoping that the petitions/applications are never separated.

YMMV
