Right now ,I am writing a letter with full details of what we have been through to have the letter sent back to us. My husband called the National Customer Services line yesterday and he was dragged from agent to agent for an hour,finally we got an immigration officer on the line who asked my A number,we gave it to him and he said on his screen it's showing all the paperwork are still in Phoenix and that there's no sign of a denial letter he suggested to go ahead and keep the infopass appointment.

I pray we meet a nice officer at our appointment.

Good luck at the appointment. If you are not getting anywhere with the first person you speak to (information officer), ask to talk to the supervisor. If unsatisfactory also, ask to talk to the CSO (Chief Station Officer). I had to do this for my EAD, and only when I spoke to the CSO I got some straight answers.

(1) If you want a good, reputable immigration attorney, talk to other people from Phoenix. Anastasia might have one, I'm not sure. Otherwise look at AILA (American Immigration Lawyers Association) for a lawyer in your area. Talk to a few on the phone and find out who has experience in this situation.

(2) Walk into your local congress person and senator's office; ask to arrange an appointment and cite the immediacy of this problem. Bring copies of any/all correspondence. They'll go the distance, very often, and it demonstrates how serious this is.

(3) Keep any notifications you received from USCIS and print this off. Also note if your case status had been updated or gave emails. Check your spam filter if need be.

(4) Take all (and I do mean all) your stuff to USCIS' infopass meeting. If you can secure letters from the post office, your mail carrier, or anything else, please definitely get them together for Friday.

(5) If you have the name of your previous officer who interviewed you, definitely mention that at the Infopass appointment.

I don't have a lawyer. We looked for them, but they all wanted too much money and insisted we would file I-130... which has absolutely nothing to do with anything. Lawyer is not really needed if you want to refile, that's very simple you just do everything as you did before, except that you would need to add a new medical to the envelope. As for motion to reopen, you might need a lawyer for that if you feel uncomfortable doing it on your own, I did some research and found some people who did it by themselves, and it's not impossible.
