Hi,

Well yesterday afternoon i call the NV Office with this # 202-663-1225 and i was informed by them that my interview for my cr-1 visa was on March 17th at 7:30am, I looked up flights and reserved and i also found a swet special for my wife to return with me on the 21st for only $600!!! But then i was a bit unsure about the interview so i called the NVC to re-confirm the interview date @ 603-334-0700 and they tell me there is no interview date scheduled and that the NVC office has misinformed me!!! They said they are the ones to schedule the interview and if there was one, then they would be the first to know since they are the ones to schedule it.

So now, I am calling the NVC office again, I am on hold with a 25 minute wait hold! LOL

So Who is right? Well lets see what the NVC office says today when they finally pickup

Well, the problem is that you keep calling the Department of State to find out when the interview date is. The right office to call for now is the NVC, not the DOS since the NVC is the one that schedules the appointments with the embassies. The DOS will only see the info that the NVC has entered.

The NVC usually schedules interviews during the first two weeks of the month so you need to call them to find out when exactly your interview will take place.

Diana, so the date the DOS gave me is not valid or accurate correct? I should not go by that date right?

They told me the same in December. Next day I received their letter with the interview date on it. It was dated many days earlier than I called them. So they keep misleading people by saying no date is scheduled, yet. Go with the date on the letter, that is official. I had my interview on the day that was stated on the letter. I stopped calling those idiots.
