But, IMHO, it does. I'd rather support a business that cares for it's workers with a living wage than get a "bargain" to keep workers at a poverty wages. Underpaid workers only make our economy weaker.

I will gladly pay more to support my local business than get a "bargain" at the expense of creating more Wal-Mart minions. That's not giving my money away, that's investing in what's right.

How do you figure thats right? The people that work at Wal-Mart are locals. The store creates jobs and gives us more for our money. I would say shopping at Wal-Mart is the right thing to do. If you shop at a Maw and Paw store only Maw and Paw make money and since you pay more you have less to spend. That makes no sense how shopping somewhere else is right.

But workers without jobs makes the economy even weaker. Wal-Mart makes jobs that would otherwise not be there. So in effect not shopping at Wal-Mart isun-American.

Could you support your family, the way you do now, working at Wal-Mart? Those jobs are a step above slavery if you ask me. I'll give my money to help keep people working at fair wages.
