Hello everyone,

My daughter and I are flying out on the 5th of Feb bound to Miami, are the X-rays going to be hand carried? I know the passport, medical report and visa packet are to be hand carried but I wonder if I should also do the same thing with the X-rays.

Any input is highly appreciated. God Bless us all!!!! :innocent:

Claudeth packed her xray in her luggage, it isn't required for the POE. We did use it when she did the supplemental for AOS because the civil surgeon wanted to do another xray so we showed him the one from St. Lukes.

I hand carried my Chest X-ray with the Vaccination record because that was what the SLEC nurse instructed for POE purposes, but the Immigration Officer at POE did not even asked for it. I have read that few placed it in their luggaage and that it was asked of them at POE, and it took them so much time to get it from their luggage (which caused hassle).

during the guidance counseling seminar, the counselor told us to hand carry the x-ray film together with the other documents. st lukes also had the same instruction.

I followed the instructions but it wasn't asked by the immigration officer upon entry. I placed mine in a plastic tube that i can just hang it on my back or side(no hassle at all).

The x-ray will never be needed at the POE. The POE officers are not x-ray technicians or Drs. so wouldn't have a clue of what they were looking at. Pack it up, no problems.

I am still curious why a POE officer would want to see an x-ray.
