As you know my mother is co-sponsoring my fiancee's visa. When she gets the letter from her employer, who should it be addressed to? I don't know what to tell her. Does she just have them put "To whom it may concern" or "United States Government" or what?

What my employer did was put (To Whom It May Concern:) I just got a raise so I had them do another Letter, This time they Included my OT. This it Guarantee OT that I have always had, But they didn't put it into the last Letter.

6-12-06 NVC Sent File To HCMC

9-29-06 Van Received Packet 4 in the Mail.

10-23-06 Interview - Passed

12-01-06 POE - San Fransisco, 10 Min Thur Immigration for Van and Thu

I think the one my father got from his employer is actually sent in attention to him. After all, he requested it so why shouldn't it be? He works in a zone office of the company, and the requested letter came from the corporate office. I would think the content of the letter (i.e. salary, nature of employment and permanency) are more important than who it is addressed to. Just my two cents.

Ok here is my situation. I work for a company that has about 35 offices all across the country, and also a few out of country. Too bad they closed our Vietnam office. The original letter I sent with our petition, was signed by the Associate in charge in my office. Do I need to get a letter straight from the head of human resources in our corporate office, since we have no Human Resource department in our office? Should this letter state both Hourly rate and salary?

I-129F Timeline:

03-10-06 - Sent I-129F to USCIS

03-15-06 - NOA1

03-25-06 - NOA2 Approval

08-28-06 - Interview!!!

11-22-06 - Got the Visa!!!

AOS Timeline:

02-08-07 - I-485 sent

02-14-07 - NOA1 (Sent to Missouri)

03-06-07 - Biometrics Appointment

03-07-07 - Transferred to CSC

05-03-07 - Card Production Ordered Email

05-10-07 - Green Card In Hand

Removal of Conditions Timeline:

03-05-09 - I-751 sent

03-09-09 - NOA1 (1 yr Extension)

04-08-09 - Biometrics

07-09-09 - Card Production Ordered Email

07-17-09 - Green Card In Hand

I-130 Filing for Step-Son

03-17-10 - Petitioner and Agent received emails to further proceed with case

"To Whom it May Conern" is the one I have seen used most.

The heading is unimportant, as it is the body that holds the most weight. Don't stress over it. : )
