Well frankly I think this president will be favored as much as Ronal Reagan, after time passes. He's certainly hated as much as Nancy and Ron in their time....Liberals back then absolutely hated them, reallly!!!!

I'm misty eyed to see that he's leaving but excited to see what McCain's going do.

I havent heard a repub wantin to start a new program. Programs cost money. The free shite needs to stop! I'm sick of payin for some poor slob that sits on their ### biotchin about their poor fckin life! If ppl wanna donate thats fine but dont come rapin my check for some politicians promises that he made to get elected.

New Programs for Repubs:

Department of Homeland Security (epic fail)

Amnesty for illegals (epic fail)

Illegal wiretapping (epic fail)

No, they don't start new programs and waste money. Thank god Iraq isn't costing us billions.

I always laugh when I hear that whole spiel about the evils of social programs... Then I look at my paycheck, see that my total payroll deductions are proportionally the same, if slightly more than they were in the UK. Then I stop laughing... because its really not funny is it...

I'm paying the same or more... for what exactly...?

Well no, but something is clearly wrong with that picture isn't it? I pay more living here and receive less...

That's not to say its a bad idea - even if the specific plan on the table is less than desirable.

I'd be behind it - if the right person was proposing it, and put forward a workable plan.

That said all the Dems are doing I believe, is keeping the system the same - but having govt fudge around the edges with subsidies.
