I had a question. When you have your I-129F (K3 Visa) petition approved, is the WAC number that was assigned when you first filed change to a number starting with MSC? My petition has been approved since Jan. 9 and my petition has yet to make it to NVC or if it has, the info has not been uploaded into their system. VJ'r Chimeneze was approved on Jan. 15 and his petition made it to NVC on Jan. 23. He states that on his NOA-2 as well as the USCIS website that his K3 was assigned a MSC number and that was what he used to call the NVC to find out if his petition was there yet. The USCIS website as well as my NOA-2 both have the same WAC# that was assigned when I first filed. I thought perhaps that was maybe why they are not able to locate our petition, but when I called the NVC, he told me they have nothing to do with how USCIS assigns numbers. It is too late to call USCIS right now, but I want to hear from those of you that have had their petitions approved and whether your K3 petition was assigned an MSC# and if it is worth calling and inquiring about that using the "RFE trick".

Thanks for your help,

Deb

Hi Deb

My case was approved the same day as "Chinemeze". Both our cases were at the CSC. His case got to NVC on 1/23, but mine didnt get there until 1/25. The number on my NOA2 is the same WAC number assigned initially. When I called the NVC I gave them that number and they were able to tell me my case was there and gave me the new NVC# (LGS##########) I have no idea about an MSC#

I called NVC today, and they have not electronically transferred my case to Lagos yet. They said K3's are transferred within a few days, and to call back in a day or so. I'm just praying it gets sent this week!

I hope u get some answers soon...I know this whole process is frustrating and depressing. My prayers are with u.

God Bless (L)

MSC is the national benefits center, they process I-129F when it is used for K-3 cases.

Applications/Petitions Processed at the National Benefits Center:

I-129F Petition for Alien Fiancé(e) (relating to spouses of United States citizens seeking K3 visas only)

http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/men...00048f3d6a1RCRD

So case changing from WAC to MSC is correct when it is changed from CR-1 to K-3 by USCIS. The I-130 will remain at NRC pending eventual adjustment of status. USCIS will not send the I-130 on to the consulate.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

Thanks Ose,

I was beginning to get concerned when he said he had an MSC # on the website and his NOA2 because I don't. I am the same as you, still with the same WAC# originally assigned. I am breathing a sigh of relief that everything is okay then if yours is there with your WAC#. My question is where is mine????? Chimeneze's petition is already in Lagos and his wife has her packets and interview date of April 8. This whole process is so terribly frustrating!!!! Thanks for your prayers.

Deb
