I dunno, Take That (British boy band of similar ilk) got back together they did very well. Never underestimate the power of nostalgia...their concerts will be filled with women who are in their late twenties and thirties all desperately remembering what it was like when they were teens.

Nostalgia=big business.

Definitely, I remember a local guy dress and make himself look like Elvis and show on the stage of a bar, and older ladies go dancing and cheering for him.

Well, considering the highest concert grosser in our area in my recent memory has been Hannah Montana and I just read Alicia Keys is the number 1 album with the 2nd lowest sales total ever, I'd say the music industry needs to do something to shake things up a bit. Might as well go with someone they now can at least draw some fans out.

It's always the same. I was watching vidoes last night from the 80's and thinking.....#######? Did I really think these people were cool and the music was good? Although....saw Papa Don't Preach.....Madonna could dance!!!!!!

I was thinking about the group Styx as I drove to work this morning (my radio isn't working so I spend time singing to myself or thinking about music). They were considered pretty cool back in the day, but now when I think of the lead singer's hideous voice with the spaceship keyboarding and silly lyrics, I can't believe they ever made it.

Mr. Roboto has got to be one of the silliest songs ever.

I just went to You Tube to check out the New Kids ... I remember songs like Hangin' Tough, but couldn't remember much after that. I found the lovely song "Games" (watching the video refreshed my memory). It starts off with Donnie rapping about "positivity is not about being soft, it's about being smart, you sucker" ....
