Hi

I am just back from my AOS interview today and all the things we worried about didn't come up. Instead the guy said my husband's I864 wasn't sufficient as up until Oct 2005 he was studying to be a teacher. He now is in full time employment and we proved that. His income is enough but we didn't realise it had to be above the poverty guidelines for all 3 past years. I then asked if I could use the value of my flat in the UK,which if sold and mortgae repaid would release about 62,000 GBP.He said I'd need to actually sell it and transfer the funds here(it is being rented out right now).I can't understand that as the form (now I am home and have time to read it) says that I can own real estate, not just have cash in the bank. So now I have to try and persuade me cousin to be a co-sponsor(she is out right now so I'll try calling tomorrow evening).Has anyone else had this problem re the number of years of income counting towards the amount required and the having property overseas?

Confused

:(
