After 5 months of AR, my wife finally got her K3 visa today from Guyana. :dance::lol::D

We were first interviewed in August 2007 then I was grilled for about 90 minutes last week. This was definitely a battle. However someone once told me that the reward quickly erases all the painful months for waiting.

To all my fellow Guyanese still waiting: just be patient. Its not an easy thing but you really don’t have too many options. Contact the embassy whenever you plan to visit your other-half and see if they need anything. The embassy never told my wife that they wanted a second interview. I only found out by sending an email before my visit.

  • 04/30/2007 - Approved (77 days)

I-129F - K3 Visa

  • 01/11/2007 - got hitched
  • 02/21/2007 - I-129F mailed to Chicago
  • 02/26/2007 - NOA1 (Notice date) - got it on 3/2/2007
  • 04/30/2007 - Approved (68 days). Sent to NVC

05/20/2007 rec'd NOA (184 days ago for NOA I ) REACHED THE 6 MONTH MARK!!

BOTH APPLICATIONS APPROVED 11/20/2007 THANK YOU MY GOD!!

Thanks everyone. my wife arrived yesterday @ 4PM at JFK, NYC.

She said that was asked a few questions at POE such as when did we get married, where will she be staying, etc. i guess it was simple!
