Please help. I received my packet 4 last saturday and noticed all the ds forms enclosed. But I plan not to use any of those but instead, just download them online, fill them up then print. Will this be fine??

Will I print each ds forms back to back? I noticed in the packet that its printed on short bond paper but seems the bondpaper is of special quality. Will I have to follow these specifications? Thanks for any help....

i presume you are referring to the DS156 and 157 forms? if yes, the USEM requires the DS156 forms to be filled up online and printed thereafter with the corresponding bar code. for the DS157, you need to pay the visa application fee with the USEM designated banks and they will issue you the machine validated DS157 which you would have to fill up legibly using black ink. any letter size bond paper will do and no need to print them back to back.

For the DS 156 forms, I filled them up online and printed the finished forms. I used a good quality bond paper. For the DS 157 form, I just payed the visa fee this morning and then the bank teller asked me if I have a filled up DS 157 form with me. I said yes and I handed to her. She then validated the back of my already-filled up DS 157.

I think if you have the filled up DS 157 form with you they will use it and would only give you the blank and machine validated DS 157 if you don't have the already-filled up form.

With my DS 157 form, I filled it up on line coz I have to attach an extra sheet for my answers to quesitons #12 and #17. The space on the box is not enough for my answers. I attached an extra sheet and named it "Attachment A".

Got my packet 4 also but I will only use the appointment letter. I will just download the forms online coz I noticed that the forms in the packet are not the updated ones. The forms in the packet expired 7/31/2007 while online the latest has an expiration dates 9/30/2010. B) Think we have the same inquiries, but, I would solve my burden that way.

can I staple the DS-156 forms since it has 3 pages?

I stapled the 3 pages together. Why? Is there any specific way to put them together?

I'm just curious if it's ok to staple the forms. Im kinda hesitant to staple it, might bring my own stapler on the interview.
