HI guys,

I am sure these questions have been asked more than a million times here, but I have searched and searched and cannot come up with straight answers! Grrr....

Here goes...:

1. Being the US citizen/petitioner, am I supposed to fill out my fiance's biographical info myself and also sign it, or is he supposed to he fill it out, sign it, and send it via postal service to me??? Or, maybe, I fill everything out but the signaturet, send it to him to sign, and then he sends it back to me? ...You can tell I'm a bit los heret...

2. So... there are 4 copies (5 pages total including the pointless and stupidly unhelpful "Instructions" on the last page) in the G-325A packet... This is how I've understood it to be filled out and completed--- please please please tell me if I'm wrong!:

~Vasya's (my fiance) bio is filled out only once and my bio is written out three times--identical to each other .....?????

~And which page number is Vasya's info supposed to be on? Or maybe it doesn't matter???

3. What is the File Number "A" block in the top right-hand corner(s)? Am I supposed to write anything here? Should I know this already?

4. And in the bottom right-hand corners, what do I fill in for Alien Registration Number ? Obviously,I'm a citizen, so do I just write "none" or leave it blank? But what should Vasya fill in? (It seemsas if I completely missed this information...!!!) Is he supposed to have this number or something? (As far as he and I are aware of, he doesn't!)

Ok, loves, that is all (for now anyways!)

Any and all help would be sooooooooooooo helpful!

Many, many, many thianks in advance!

June 26, 2012 - The Hubbs received his 10-year Permanent Residency Card (aka THE Greencard) in the mail today!

At long last, this highly stressful leg of our journey has come to a close - for now - and we couldn't be more grateful and appreciative for all the tremendous help and support here on VJ! Without VisaJourney I doubt we would be where my husband and I are today! Thanks to all!

He will need to fill one out and sign it, then mail it (with passport style photos) to you.

2. So... there are 4 copies (5 pages total including the pointless and stupidly unhelpful "Instructions" on the last page) in the G-325A packet... This is how I've understood it to be filled out and completed--- please please please tell me if I'm wrong!:

You will each fill out all four pages of SEPARATE G-325A's. It seems redundant but each page goes to a different department. If you fill it out using Adobe normally it will automatically fill in the other 3 pages after you've filled in the first one.

3. What is the File Number "A" block in the top right-hand corner(s)? Am I supposed to write anything here? Should I know this already?

You do not know this number, enter N/A. You won't have a file number until you receive the NOA1 :)

Unless he has dealt with US immigration in some way before, he will not have an alien registration number. He will get this number when you receive your NOA2 (it'll list it above his name on the form.) Never leave anything blank, enter either N/A or none.

Ok, loves, that is all (for now anyways!)

Thank you SOOO much! That was the fastest response I think I've ever gotten to anything! Wow! (F)(F):D

So, for my question #2, I will end up having 8 pages (4 of from him and and for from me), right? And I submit all of them with the I-129F Petition?

Unless he has dealt with US immigration in some way before, he will not have an alien registration number.

Well, Vasya visited me this past Fall on a tourist visa, but this probably didn't "qualify" him to be given an "alien reg. number" since he came as a non-immigrant, right?

Again, thanks so much for your help! And excuse me for the repetitive, silly questions!

Right. I would suggest you write "none" in most places one might be tempted to write N/A. For instance on the G325a of a US Citizen by birth, either none or N/A are appropriate for "A number" but for a naturalized Citizen the question is applicable and needs an answer. For foreign beneficiary the question is absolutely applicable, so in known, write it, if none, write none or if unknown write unknown but do not write N/A.

It doen't matter who fills out any form but it does matter who signs them. Using the downloadable forms either completely or mostly filled out on your computer is far easier than doing it by hand but each person for whom a G325a is submitted, needs to sign their own. The logistics don't matter as long as the signatures are there.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...
Understanding the big picture is priceless. Anonymous
