So we got a touch on our K-1 application! LOL, what the hell is that???? We are well into the AOS now and had a touch on the AOS on the 24th. Why the hell would they touch the k-1??

I think they have some issues with their computer systems. Alot of case numbers for people who filed recently are not also appearing online.

What is there to understand? They throw all the cases in a big pile and throw darts at them. If they like the way the dart landed, they pick it up and work on it for a few minutes. If they dont, they just move it around the pile, hence "touching". Just because your K-1 was approved doesnt mean they arent still using you for target practice ;)

Wait until you receive three or different Welcome To America letters.

Send us one of your spares, eh? :)

we had the same thing.. they put up that it was aproved on Jan 16th .. while I've been here since September... I think that once their maximum time frame is up they look through all the so called pending files and update their system. if only they had looked at the EAD or AOS instead!

I'm not sure why you're still checking the K1 application! Heck, I don't even have that case number at my reach anymore.

At any rate, it's probably not beyond the pale for them to look at things on the K1 application in order to verify something for AOS.

They may have been looking at something on AOS to see if it matched your K1, to double check or verify information or maybe they moved it. No telling exactly. At least you are getting looks.

In my USCIS account online, the K-1 petition is still visible....(date hasn't changed though) but perhaps the OP has the same thing, and just noticed a touch?

LOL It's amusing some people check their K1 status when they are in the AOS stage; I wouldn't have thought to do that if it wasn't for posts on here where people say they got a touch. ;-) But I checked mine just out of curiosity (never signed up for the emails because of the big thing they make you check off...) Haha. It's apparently gone entirely :) Maybe they were removing it or something, like someone said. :)

Ha, thanks for the responses. I am using the same login for the AOS stuff, that is why I can see my K1 application stuff in my portfolio.
