Hi All

I'm putting together the I-134 and of course there's questions that I don't seem to find answers to.... If anyone can help, that would be great.

1. Since I'm self employed, I don't have a W2, or whatever. What income figure do they want from my tax return? Gross or Net? Either is over the 125% guideline but I'd like to put in the "correct" number.....

2. Also since I'm self employed do I write myself a letter of employment?

3. Do they want my retirement mutual funds/CDs/Annuties listed? Where? Would the mutual funds be listed under stocks and bonds (I only have account numbers not the actual stocks and bonds) The CDs/Annuties under saving?

4. I own my home, I'm not sure to list it since it's not really an asset. The current mortgage balance is about or less then it's current market value. I'm concerned it could confuse the Consulate. In fact I see the money draining out of it as I write... Opps, that's the rain in California..... If I list it do I need to include my property tax bill to show it's value and mortgage statements?

5. Personal property and life insurance, should I include any evidence to support them? Policy numbers, statements, appraisals?

6. Item 10 (I have submitted a visa petition(s) to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) on behalf of the following person(s). If none, state none.) I've found that some say answer that with "None" and others have written their fiancee's name in. Which is it?

Thanks

Peter and Thi

1 Gross income, GET SIMPLE IRS TRANSCRIPTS. Get past 3 years to show consistent income.

http://www.irs.gov/faqs/faq1-6.html

2 A letter explaining what you do should be fine.

3 Not needed is your annual income exceeds 125%

4 Again not needed if income is above 125% (Consulate is more concerned with income)

5 Again not needed if income is above 125% (Consulate is more concerned with income)

Peter, There is no need to show all of the assets just show that you have enough to support her and show it on your Tax returns have all that other stuff Bonds ,Mutal Funds in a folder in case they ask but they will not if you are over the 17000 mark. I did not even list my home on the I -134 I wrote in the amount on my Bonds and Mutual Funds on the Line and wrote what was on line 22 of my 2006 tax return that was enough. Eric
