well, we got back from our trip on Saturday night.. We had a great time!! We took a tonne of pictures... I will try and post some in a few days... I have to organize them still...

We spent a week in Canada visiting my family... It was nice to see them all again after a year.... Of course they had me baking cookies almost right aways :P .... It seems that is what they missed the most :P I made my famous Chocolate Skor Trifle for the Birthday Party my mom had for the 5 Spring Birthdays our family has... My dad's is March 14th, my one brother, Donny's is April 3rd, one of my other brothers, Dylan's is April 29th, my little sister's is May 11th and mine is May 20th.... then you have Easter and Mother's day thrown in there too :wacko:

I was crying has I hugged my younger sibs when we were getting set to leave :crying: .... I might be going up to Canada again in the summer when my Grandma is going to be there....

We travelled along the Oregon and California coast on the way home... It was really nice and scenic.... We spent about 2 days in San Francisco... We left the car parked at the hotel and walked or took the bus everywhere... Those hills are murder on your legs though :blink: ... We took a tour of Alcatraz and hubby loved it....

We had a great trip and today hubby is back at work :crying: ..... I have a car now though :thumbs: ... I just need to get my Cali license yet.... I have another road test scheduled for this Thursday... I have to use my father-in-law's car though because hubby had a heck of a time trying to find coloured blinker lights... turns out he has to go to the Honda dealer to get them :P which he won't have a chance to do before my test.... I am getting his dad's car tomorrow so I can get used to it a bit before my test...

Anywho, I am wiped... I just got back from doing the real laundry and now I have dishes to do and then think of something to make for dinner :P

P.S. Just now I discovered that those dang bees are back :angry:

Marilyn sounds like you had a lovely trip home. I am glad you had the chance to see everyone and make their day with your good cooking. I am sure they missed you as well as the cooking and also looks like you and hubby had a nice trip of site seeing as well. This is always so refreshing to get away together and enjoy yourselves. Only bummer I see if your friends are back visiting, sorry to hear the bees are back again. Take care and good luck on your drivers testing later this week.

Glad all went well? How was Tim Hortons??

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Medical scheduled for 4/10/06 - everything went great!!

5/2/06 - INTERVIEW - APPROVED !!

5/20/06 - Crash came home to NY for good!!

What the hell, twice!!! I would be going daily!! Go to the off leash area with the dogs, and stop by tims on the way back!! July 7th isnt going to come fast enough!! Marilyn, Marilyn, we need to talk!!!
