Do I just download the form and take it to the civil surgeon and get his medical exam and the other 2 vaccines that he needs ? Im confused from that website... It seems like he dont need to get a medical exam here bcz he did already in Egypt... but 2 people in my area that I know that did k3 told me yes he does... ANY ideas from recent Adjustment of Status???

and ...

Adam and I are going to Texas on Tues to spend 10 days with all my family... and have a wedding/VOW ceremony in the church my grandparents and parents married in. We are very excited and we will show a picture or two when we get back home in Feb.

Since the full medical was done within the last 12 months then no he does not need the complete medical done again. He may need to have the vaccination supplement though. Commonly referred to as the I-693A supplement to the medical. This can be done by a civil surgeon here. Prices vary.

He needs to have had MMR, TD and varicela. Also be prepared to be asked for the TB skin test as opposed to the chest xray from overseas. This was because of some tard who flew from the US all over the show.

If he has complete history for his vacs, the DS-3025 (overseas worksheet) can be sent to Dr Arnold in texas, she transcribes them for $10.

Alternatively you can just try sending the wroksheet with the application. you might get a RFE for the supplement and this includes at interview you can be asked for it, or it might just sail through. Important thing to remember is that the vaccinations are complete.

Tam,

I have been reading up on AOS too....trying to prepare for when Ahmed finally gets here. I read on the site I was reading that he does not need a new medical exam if the one from Egypt was done in the last year that all he will need is the vaccination supplement. I will relook for the site I was reading and try to post it for you....but it is hectic around here right now...so it may take me until you return from Texas. By the way..Have a Great Trip and a WONDERFUL WEDDING. I look forward ot seeing the pictures when you return. Be Safe.

Tam,

Well Ahmed got DC so I went ahead and found the link for you. So here you are.....the info you are looking for is on the AOS checklist where it talks about the medical exam. Hope this helps you.

AOS Guide Link

In case your lazy I copied and pasted that part......but added the link in case you wanted to read it all.

11. I-693, Medical Examination of Aliens Seeking Adjustment of Status. (If you already have this from your overseas Visa Interview submit a copy that medical check form; No fee is required in this case. If you are a K-1 fiancé(e) or K-2 dependent who had a medical examination within the past year as required for the nonimmigrant fiancé(e) visa, you only need to submit a vaccination supplement (I-693A), not the entire medical report. You may include the vaccination supplement with your adjustment of status application.)

So it seems from the above that a K-3 would not need a vaccination supplement right? Also, do you know if the Medical Exam that they had in Egypt needs to be translated or is the form already in English? Where do they get a copy of that form? I think the only copy is at the Consulate right now so would that mean he needs to request a copy from them or go to the hospital that he had it done at? Thanks!

A K3 does need the supplement. Although you may get away with just submitting the worksheet, to be on the safe side and save time not getting a RFE (including at interview like I did), get it transcribed. I had all my vacs complete but they specifically wanted it on the AOS supplement form (I-693A). This was through Atlanta office.

Go to the hospital where he had them done and ask for a copy, they should of given him a copy already of the vacinations done. If it is not in english then it will have to be translated.

The consulate may give him a copy or they may not.

He needs to make sure that for most people aged 18-64 he has had MMR, TD and varicella unless already had chicken pox, of course.

As I also posted above, some people are asked for the TB skin test, only the chest xray is done overseas so dont be surprised if you get a RFE for this. This came into play middle of last year.

Not to bogart tamara's thread here but he asked at the hospital for a copy of the medical report and they refused saying they were not allowed to give it to him so does he just wait to get it back from the consular?

Alot of countries will not give the full medical, but he should of received a copy of the vaccinatiion worksheet. DS-3025. With any vaccinations that were done. If he does not have this when he gets here he can have a titre test at any doctors or have a new set of immunisations done. This can then be transcribed onto the supplement by a CS.

Could try for a copy from the consulate but most dont give them. They might do a copy of the vacs worksheet.
