My child and I (CR1/CR2) are stuck at the NVC and waiting for our case approval since october.

I dont know if anybody have/had the same situation as us:

NVC sent false RFE in october, saying that our docs missing the custody paper, but its NOT, they just overlooked it! My husband called them to assure them that we sent it, they found that paper, made correction and so, since october all we get to hear is :" Your case is under review, wait 6-8 weeks" .

We are not under AP or something like that, so i wonder what is going on. No more RFE's been sent also.

We spoke to a supervisor, we were told that the documents are correct and complete. It didnt help much, and nobody can really explain why its taking so long if everything they have asked for has been sent. They seem to be satisfied with the AOS that was sent to them.

Calling them every week to get the same old answer. :protest:

Its end of january and we are still waiting...

i just want to say i am sorry to hear that your stuck i dont how to help but just hang in there and keep calling or contact congressman to see if they can give it a boost ??? any way sorry for the troubles and good luck

Today i found out that my case is complete!! Finally!! i cant beleive it..... only takes 208 days!!

Wish good luck for everyone, and to have their cases complete soon!

Good news is that it won't be that cold to go to Kiev in March

Good luck with the last part of the CR-1 process :yes:

2008-05-31 I arrived at JFK (took me 1hour and a half to be out of the airport with a stamp in my passport)

2010-03-09 NOA-1

2010-03-10 check cashed

2010-4-12 Bio (done early 3-29)

2010-6-3 card production ordered

2010-6-19 10 year GC recieved

N-400

2011-3-28 application sent via express mail to LEWISVILLE TX SC

My wife's case has been mishandled by the NVC several times now. The NVC has had her case since June 2007. The case has been "lost" once for 6 weeks. Then the NVC sent wrong instructions wich resulted in a two month delay. My affadavit of support was lost so I had to send them a new one. Now I am waiting for it to be entered into the system so it can be reviewed. WOW! I can not believe I am still sane.

OMG! Im so sorry for you! This is just cruel to do this to both of u- you and ur wife! Be strong, guys ,and know that u will be together, regardless of how hard they (NVC etc..) try!

I wish all the best for you two, and to be done with all this immigration process soon!

P.S. You need to stay on top of the NVC at all times , and call them constantly for updates. :bonk:

My wife is from Kherson Ukraine and we can not find the custody papers. The court does not have them.

Can you please tell me how you got the custody papers and how they read?

Hi!

I sent email to the USA Embassy in Kiev, asking them the same question, and this is what they wrote me back:

"The notarized permission from the father of your minor child is for the Ukrainian border patrol to let your child out of the country without any problems. As for parental custody documents for the child, the Consular Section is not in the position to recommend any particular documents here. You should explain to the National Visa Center the procedure of divorce in Ukraine and the documents, which are obtained afterwards."

So i sent to the NVC only notirized consent letter from the biological father of my child, with photocopy of the 1st page of his(father) passport included.
