Hi there

I have just had my biometrics in Denver yesterday, as I was advised by the local service centre that my application processing had completed.

As I have a pending job offer which is contingent on my card being 'in hand', does anyone know how long the card takes to arrive after the biometrics have taken place?

Your experiences will be greatly received.

If by processing completed you mean that the regional service center approved your application, and it was just pending biometrics, then you should see a status change on the USCIS web site in 2-3 days, and receive the card in another couple of days. See my timeline in the signature also.

09-02-2005 Applications for AOS, EAD, and AP received by MSC

10-21-2005 AOS fingerprint notice for 12-08-2005

11-07-2005 AP approved

12-05-2005 Infopass appt at San Jose office for interim EAD -- Refused, because it is already approved by MSC on 11-07-2005

12-07-2005 Attempt at interim EAD at San Francisco office -- no go. Back to San Jose, where CSO (chief station officer) tells they will contact MSC via email to request permission to issue interim EAD

12-08-2005 Biometrics for AOS and EAD. Having no EAD appt letter was no problem (used EAD NOA)

12-15-2005 EAD arrived in the mail

12-24-2005 Received interview letter; interview scheduled 03-01-2006

01-28-2006 Received replacement SSN card in married name (5 wks since application)

03-01-2006 AOS interview -- approved; received stamp in the passport

03-13-2006 Green card arrived in the mail

For Claudeth's it took about 6 weeks from the biometrics until the card arrived

It's important to distinguish the cases when the biometrics in question were taken after 90 days or in the normal course of processing the application. So if OP knows for sure that his application was approved by MSC, then it should arrive soon - 1 wk. If not, there may be an additional wait.

09-02-2005 Applications for AOS, EAD, and AP received by MSC

Mine came quickly after biometricks however I think you might want to check the processing dates.

I think it also depends how many application for EAD they currently have in line.

I assume you mailed it all to Chicago... just like everyone does now...

Look into my signature...

If I am correct now they are processing EAD from October 2005 so we might have to wait a little.

I have e-filed for renewal and had my biometricks done already and not much is happening...

Sept-15-2006 ~ AP renewal approved 247 days

Sept-21-2006 ~ EAD renewal approved 253 days

Sept-30-2006 ~ 2nd Biometrics appointment

June-18-2007 ~ E-filed yet another Work Permit and AP renewal :(

After 2 years, 6 moths and one day I have received this email:

Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident.

I got my FP done Jan 31.. I was told I would get something by Feb 8 :) I am crossing my fingers but so far no new LUD in my i-765 case since Jan 31.

10/17/05... WPB, FL rcvd and forward to NBC/MSC rcvd pkg

11/09/05... NOAs for i-485,i-765 & i-130 dispatched

11/12/05... NOA i-485 & i-765 in my hands!

01/09/06... got biometrics appt for i-485 for 1/31/06

01/11/06... i-765 touched (ACTUAL APPROVAL DAY)

01/31/06... BIO/FP done for i-765 & i-485.

02/08/06... EAD APPROVED & got my passport in the mail! :) (ready for that stamp!)

02/09/06... Got my EAD :) approved 1/11/06 valid until 1/10/07

02/10/06... Applied for SSN, EAD INFO was already in the SSA system :)

02/17/06... got my SSN in the mailbox! yai!!!

02/21/06... GOT INTERVIEW DATE for 4/26/06 @ 9:30AM -West Palm Beach, FL DO-

04/26/06... Interview seemed a success, no approval due to pending security clearence.

06/07/06... i-485 was "touched."

06/09/06... Got email from CRIS, welcome letter on the way! :)

06/12/06... Welcome letter in my hands!

06/16/06... Got email from CRIS again! green card on the way!!

06/19/06... GOT MY GREEN CARD! (valid until 06/07/08)

05/22/08... TX received okg for i751

05/30/08... GOT NOA with extension

06/09/08... got appt for fingerprints

06/17/08... fingersprints done

09/03/08... case transferred and received at CA

03/01/09... finally 1 touch!

04/01/09... got email new green card on the way!!!!! (10 months and 2 weeks!)

06/22/12... N-400 Priority Date - Received

I wonder if this is why Tara's EAD has not come. We sent the application the end of October, and got a receipt a few days later.

We went for her Biometrics back in December, and sent us home because she had a bad cut on one of her fingers.

Last week she finally was able to get them (Biometrics) done.

They told us at the service center that the Biometrics had nothing to do with her applications though. I guess I'm confused.

12/28/07 I-751 Submitted

01/14/08 NOA1 Received

02/12/08 Biometrics Completed
