He was adorable. He was so excited that Nigeria won. He had the internet on for the last 25 minutes of the game reading the play by play. He was convinced that Nigeria was going to loose, so he was so pleased when they won. He danced and shouted and jumped up and down like a kid getting the best present of his life. It was nice to see him so excited and happy. He immediately called Nigeria and spoke with his friend. They said that they were shooting fireworks and driving around crazy to celebrate. It will be interesting to see him watch an intense game sometime. I can hardly imagine. GO NIGERIA :thumbs::thumbs::dance:

Mandolin, I am thanking my lucky stars right now that I was not in Nigeria today. I would hate to see how Nigerians are driving today if they are driving crazy to celebrate.....from my experience in Lagos, I think they are all crazy drivers anyway. :lol: I always tease my husband about the "crazy Nigerian drivers".

I lived in Toronto Canada during the World Cup one year and I never had to watch a single game to know who won. As soon as the game was over, fans would start cruising down the streets honking their horns and flying full-size flags out all four car windows of the country that had won. The Brazilians were the craziest!!! That year the final game was played between Brazil and France. I knew France had won when there was not a single Brazil fan to be seen on the roads that day (not many French fans in Toronto). It was always wild on the roads after the games but always made me laugh.

It's $6 per game or $30 for all the games. We just went ahead and paid the $30. Its been great. You need to have broadband internet, but my husband has been pretty happy with it. He'll have to get up at 3am tomorrow to watch the next game! Kind of glad because he'll still make it to work on time!

We don't have broadband so my husband can't actually watch it. If you go to bbc news, though, they have a play by play written update that updates about every minute or two. That is what my husband was looking at. He was only reading about it and he was that excited! So, today I am at work and he is all alone and I'm sure he is disapointed. He really wanted them to win (I really wanted them to win for him). Oh, well. Maybe next time.
