I can definitly agree that I don't think they will accomplish any of their goals with suicide bombings or launching rockets however their cause is valid and they are desperate. Regardless of what superpower in the world you are, you can't just wake up one day and decide to wipe out a whole race of people. Because there are actually people in the world that won't stand for it. The other point is that Hamas, is only a small percentage of the Palistinian people and I don't agree they should all suffer because of their actions. Even if they were elected, they were elected out of desperation and the hope for a better life. We elected Bush and thats probebly the biggest crime against humanity!

You're so sweet, JP.

Their cause is valid, but lobbing rockets at Israel is only going make things worse for them.

Their best bet is to give up their idealistic, starry-eyed claims to the land occupied by Israel,

keep whatever little they have, create a lawful state where terrorism holds no sway, and find

ways to peacefully co-exist with the Jewish state.

That would be the adult thing to do. And it's the only way peace will ever come in the area.

The adult thing to do is the let oppressor get its way? I think if peace is to come it's going to have to come from BOTH sides.

I don't see Israel as the oppressor. I see them as the rightful owner of the land.

Yet you still have not shown WHY they are the rightful owner of the land so therefore they are an oppressor.

Because they did it in the same way every other country in the world was formed. They took it by force and successfully defended it. Sorry you don't like reality but that is life.

Yes. They fought and they lost. It’s bad enough to lose, but it’s even worse to be a bad loser.

They fought a battle and lost yet the war is still going on.

They have lost, they just don't believe they have. That's what being a bad loser means.

Well maybe you think they have lost but the fact that so many people are suffering on both sides mean that the war IS still going on. So regardless of who you think is the winner or projected winner, there is a war going on there and I'm sure the people that live with it daily can attest to that.

Because they did it in the same way every other country in the world was formed. They took it by force and successfully defended it. Sorry you don't like reality but that is life.

They took it by force means they ARE an oppressor, thanks for clearing that up. Secondly, they are still defending it and have not been successful in making the are peaceful so that tells me that it ain't over yet.

The good news is, Israel only has to survive another 40 years or so. By then we will have

sucked the oil wells of the Middle East dry, leaving the Arabs with nothing. Once their

precious oil is gone, they will have ZERO power or leverage.

So help Israel, Gupt - buy a gas-guzzling SUV today!

I don't need God to tell me how much oil they have left and how long it will last. Oil Reserves 101.

This has to be by far the rudest statement on this thread. You just proved why you are on Israel's side. Like I said before Arab life means absoulutly nothing to you so if you feel this way then why would you expect arabs to feel any differently about Jews? You are just creating a cycle of hate with your ignorant words.

Ok lets go with your theory for a minute, WHERE do they create a lawful state?

What's wrong with Jordan? More than 50% of the population there are palestinians!

Military might won't bring peace. No one can guarantee they will have the military might forever. So the best way to solve this is to talk to each other, recongnize each other's existence, recognize they are same human beings, no one is inferior or superior. But saying that they have the land now, so let them keep it even with force and thinking Palestinians, Arabs have no right to the land they were kicked out from, let Arabs/Palestinians forget about about (as it happened 60 years ago) won't solve the problem.

It worked for India and Pakistan

You are incorrect about that as well, 1/3 of the population is Palestinian, 1/3 Iraqi, 1/3 Jordanians. Regardless you think its fair to make it someone elses problem so that Israel can get away with its crimes against humanity? Besides that you can't create a LAWFUL state inside someone elses country!

You know the ironic thing is Jews were thrown out of their homes in Europe and suffered greatly and now they are doing the same thing to another race of people that had nothing to do with it.
